Peralta blanked the Brewers across six innings during Tuesday's no-decision. He allowed two hits and a pair of walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta left with the game tied at 3-3, and Tigers didn't end up winning until the 11th, leaving the right-hander with his eighth no-decision over his last nine starts. The good news is that Peralta was finally able to pitch deeper into the game after lasting just four innings in each of his first two starts since returning from the injured list. The 32-year-old has put together a 3.32 ERA and 1.26 WHIP overall this season and projects for his next start Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Peralta allowed one run on six hits and three walks across four innings during Tuesday's loss to the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Making his second start since his return from the injured list, Peralta had trouble keeping the Pirates off the bases, though he did manage to limit damage. The 32-year-old has pitched just four innings in both outings since recovering from a blister on his right hand and will look to stretch things out during his next time on the mound. Overall this season, Peralta has compiled a 3.60 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 70 innings (14 starts).

Peralta (finger) gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over four innings in Wednesday's no-decision against Oakland. He also had a pair of strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta was making his return to the mound after a 10-day stay on the injured list. He gave up a sacrifice fly to Matt Olson in the first inning, put up zeroes for the next two frames, then gave up a Starling Marte solo homer and Jed Lowrie RBI double in the fourth. That effectively marked the end of the night for Peralta, who was unable to pitch into the fifth inning for just the second time since the start of July. Peralta has been a stabilizing arm in Detroit's rotation, posting a stellar 3.68 ERA in 66 innings, but his low K rate (15.0%) and unimpressive xERA (4.35) suggest it's probably not sustainable.

Peralta (finger) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Wednesday's start against Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta will return to the Tigers after spending the minimum of 10 days on the injured list due to a blister on a finger on his right hand. The 32-year-old gave up at least two runs in each of his six starts prior to his absence, and he recorded a 5.90 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in 29 innings during that time. He had posted a 1.64 ERA across his first seven appearances of the season and will attempt to get back on track against the Athletics on Wednesday.

Manager A.J. Hinch said the Tigers plan to reinstate Peralta (finger) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday to start the team's game against the Athletics that day, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta will end up spending the minimum amount of time on the shelf due to a blister on a finger on his pitching hand. After submitting a 1.64 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in his first seven outings with the Tigers, Peralta's ratios predictably backslid during his subsequent six starts (5.90 ERA, 1.62 WHIP) before landing on the shelf. The more recent starts are likely a better reflection of what to expect from Peralta moving forward; his 5.21 FIP, 6.2 K-BB% and .242 BABIP are all indicators that he's pitched over his head and has benefited from some fortunate luck.

The Tigers placed Peralta on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a blister on a finger on his right hand.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta likely developed the blister at some point in the Tigers' 3-0 loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday, when he churned out his third quality start of the season while working six innings and allowing two runs on six hits and a walk. Detroit had already been rolling out a six-man rotation of late, and with off days coming Monday and Thursday, the team will most likely get by with five starters until Peralta is eligible to return Sept. 1.

Peralta (3-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk over six innings as the Tigers were downed 3-0 by the Blue Jays. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander delivered his third quality start of the season and his only real mistake got deposited in the seats for a two-run homer by Randal Grichuk in the second inning, but Peralta got no help at all from the Detroit offense. He'll carry a 3.63 ERA and 39:23 K:BB through 62 innings into his next outing.

Peralta didn't factor into the decision Saturday against Cleveland after allowing three runs on six hits and three walks while fanning six across 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta went a bit deeper than his counterpart, Sam Hentges, but he was also unable to pitch five complete frames before departing. While he was far from effective and struggled a bit with his command, Peralta has now given up three or fewer runs in three straight outings and owns a decent 3.70 ERA across 56 innings on the year. If he manages to maintain his ERA below the 4.00 threshold, it would be the second time over the last three seasons in which he accomplishes that feat.

Peralta didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Cleveland after allowing five runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Even though three of the five runs Peralta allowed were unearned, his performance wasn't really encouraging. Peralta has given up at least five runs in three of his last four starts, though he has also given up two or fewer earned runs in his last two appearances. A few inconsistencies aside, he's been pitching well this season and owns a 3.48 ERA across 51.2 innings in 2021. That figure would represent a career-best mark for him.

Peralta allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts through 4.2 innings, taking a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta needed 46 pitches to get through the first two innings Tuesday, but after allowing an unearned run in the first and a solo homer to Hunter Renfroe in the second, the right-hander settled in to subdue a potent Boston order. For a guy who allowed 11 runs in his previous two starts, one earned run through 4.2 innings can't be seen as a bad thing. However, he needed 96 pitches to get through the outing and walked the final two batters that he faced. He now has multiple walks in five straight starts and has not struck out more than four since punching out six Texas Rangers on July 5.
