Black (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a "mild" rotator cuff strain, according to general manager Sandy Alderson, and there's a good chance he is done for the season, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports. It certainly makes sense that the Mets would want to be careful with Black, who is one of the team's top relief pitchers. Fortunately, the fact that he has not been 100 percent ruled out for the season suggests that it's something he'll be able to fully recover from in time for the start of the 2015 season.

Black has been diagnosed with a slight herniated disc in his neck, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
