Jenkins was shelled in Sunday's start versus the Rockies, allowing seven runs on eight hits and five walks across just 3.1 innings. He struck out two and suffered his second loss of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins fell victim to the long-ball Sunday, as he allowed a three-run homer to Nolan Arenado in the bottom of the first and was later chased from the game after D.J. LeMahieu and Trevor Story both took him deep in the fourth, accounting for three more runs. Jenkins had delivered his first quality start of the season in his previous outing, so perhaps Sunday's struggles were merely a product of a tough matchup in the toughest of environments and he can get back on track in his next start Saturday versus the Phillies at home.

Jenkins (0-1) pitched six innings, allowing two runs, four hits and four walks while striking out two Tuesday against the Reds. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
In just his second big league start, the 24-year-old notched his first quality start, and would have had his first win if not for a ninth-inning blown save. The 6-foot-4 right-hander was a key cog in last winter's deal that sent Jason Heyward to the Cardinals, and he's pitched his way into the rotation for now. Whether or not he'll remain a starter is unclear, but it appears that Jenkins has earned the right to be a weekly feature. The Braves don't have much to play for down the stretch, so it would make sense to continue allowing Jenkins to show what he can do from a starting role.

Jenkins will start Tuesday's game in Cincinnati, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was unclear if he would get a chance to pitch in the rotation or the bullpen in the second half, but the Braves don't really have anything to lose by giving him a shot to show he can be a useful starter in the big leagues. Jenkins gave up one run on four hits and one walk in 4.2 innings in his only big league start to date, and he'll have a favorable matchup Tuesday. In all likelihood, Jenkins will end up in the bullpen long term so that his stuff can play up a bit, as his minor league strikeout numbers leave a lot to be desired.

The Braves have not made an official decision on their immediate plans for Jenkins, though it remains likely that he will return to a relief role after an effective spot start Wednesday against the Phillies, the Braves' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins allowed one run in 4.2 innings Wednesday, but despite the Braves' long-term plans for him as a starter, a relief role in the second half may still be in the offing. A decision regarding the post-break plans for Jenkins may also hinge on the health and performance of the team's other starters in the coming days.

Jenkins allowed one run on four hits, struck out one and walked one in a no-decision in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old couldn't get the final out in the fifth inning to put himself in line for the win, and then relief Ian Krol allowed his inherited runner to score to tie the game. Jenkins threw a career-high 64 pitches, 38 of which were for strikes. Jenkins had four appearances as a reliever before Wednesday, but this was his first start in the MLB. He is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and seven strikeouts in 14.0 innings.

Jenkins will make his first career start Wednesday as the Braves take on the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins, who started nine games for Triple-A Gwinnett before being promoted, will start in place of Julio Teheran. Teheran is hopeful to make his next start against the White Sox this weekend, so this looks to be just a spot start for Jenkins.

The Braves are considering giving Jenkins a shot in the rotation, the Atlanta Journal Constitution's David O'Brien reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins, who was seen as a high-upside pitching prospect several years ago in the Cardinals system, was recently recalled to pitch in relief. However, with a run of injuries and poor performances from other pitching prospects, the Braves may figure they have nothing to lose by letting Jenkins show what he has as a starter at the highest level. He hasn't posted a K-rate above 20 percent since 2012 and wins would be hard to come by, so there would be limited fantasy upside if the Braves do indeed opt to give him some starts in the coming weeks.

Jenkins (0-1) allowed four runs in four innings after replacing John Gant (oblique) in the third inning of Monday's game against the Indians. He allowed six hits, walked one, and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins made his Major League debut just a few days ago with a scoreless relief appearance. The righty had a 3.88 ERA for Triple-A Gwinnett this season over nine starts and five relief appearances. If his long relief appearance doesn't earn him a ticket back to Triple-A, he'll continue to operate out of the Atlanta bullpen.

Jenkins made his major league debut for the Braves Wednesday, pitching a scoreless eighth inning against the Marlins. Jenkins finished with no walks or strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins, who throws a mid-90s fastball along with a curveball and change-up, has the ability to stick with the Braves the rest of the season before possibly getting shut down. Jenkins has been a starter throughout his career in the minors, so look for him to get some starts for the Braves as the season progresses. Jenkins threw a career-high 138.1 innings in 2015. He is currently at 66 innings in 2016.

Jenkins was recalled by the Braves on Thursday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
the 23-year-old right-hander has never pitched in a major league game, but he's fared well at Triple-A this season, posting a 2.91 ERA across 14 appearances (nine starts) for Gwinnett. The expectation is that he'll pitch out of the bullpen for the big league club, which optioned right-hander Casey Kelly to Triple-A on Thursday to clear a roster spot.
