Kinley pitched two shutout innings Sunday against the White Sox, allowing zero hits and one walk while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old worked around the ghost runner in both the 11th and 12th innings, allowing just a single baserunner on an intentional walk. Fellow reliever Jalen Beeks earned the win in the 14th inning, but Kinley remains the preferred closer despite owning an ugly 8.27 ERA on the year. Both relievers will be in the mix for saves moving forward as part of a volatile Rockies bullpen.

Kinley allowed four earned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one to record his only out Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley entered the game in the ninth inning with the Rockies up by five runs. He allowed three of the first four batters he faced to reach base before serving up a grand slam to Jason Heyward. He was pulled immediately thereafter, sparing him a loss or blown save, but it was still a disastrous outing that ultimately led to a Rockies loss. Kinley has taken over as Colorado's primary closer, though he's now given up six earned runs across his last three appearances spanning 2.1 frames.

Kinley picked up the save Tuesday against the Twins, allowing two runs on two hits with no walks over one inning. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley inherited a three-run lead in the ninth but still had to sweat after allowing a leadoff double to Willi Castro and a two-run homer to Carlos Santana with two outs before icing the game by striking out Jose Miranda. Kinley has emerged as the Rockies preferred ninth-inning option -- supplanting Jalen Beeks -- though Tuesday's close call and Kinley's 8.10 ERA overall could open the door for other relievers to see save chances.

Kinley earned a save against the Cardinals on Saturday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley entered with Colorado holding a one-run lead in the ninth inning and allowed a one-out double to Brendan Donovan, but he was able to close out the contest without further trouble. The right-hander was pretty sharp in throwing 10 of 13 pitches for strikes. Kinley has now picked up each of Colorado's past two saves while Jalen Beeks -- who leads the club with six saves on the campaign -- has notched a hold in both of those contests. It's worth noting that Beeks has blown four saves this season while Kinley is a perfect 4-for-4 on save chances despite owning a 7.71 ERA. It appears Kinley may be the slight favorite for ninth-inning opportunities moving forward, though that's far from certain given the rockiness of Colorado's bullpen as a whole.

Kinley allowed a hit and struck out one batter in one-third of an inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Jalen Beeks entered the game in the eighth inning and got five outs, but Kinley was the one to get the last out for the save. This was Kinley's fourth scoreless outing in his last eight -- he's given up too many runs to be reliable on a regular basis, though he hasn't taken a blown save yet in 2024. The right-hander is at three saves and four holds with an 8.03 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB over 24.2 innings.

Kinley tossed a perfect inning and earned a save against the Phillies on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley needed just nine pitches to quickly close out the 5-2 victory. It was his second save of the year and first since May 15. Jalen Beeks has blown his last two save chances and allowed a run in three straight outings. His grip on the closer role doesn't seem very secure right now. Kinley has produced a 2.45 ERA with a 10:2 K:BB over his last 11 innings.

Kinley picked up the save Tuesday in a 6-3 win over the Padres after pitching a clean ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley was called upon for the save opportunity with both Jalen Beeks and Justin Lawrence unavailable and sent down the Padres' 9-1-2 hitters in order. He's now working on 5.2 consecutive scoreless innings and has picked up a win, a hold and a save in each of his last three appearances. Kinley still owns an 8.44 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 14:11 K:BB in 16 innings after some pretty rough outings earlier in the year.

Kinley allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one across a scoreless eighth inning in Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley pitched with a five-run lead in a setup role for Justin Lawrence. It was his second appearance of the season, with the first coming in Friday's loss to Arizona. Though the team hasn't yet had a save chance, Kinley appears more likely to be in line for holds rather than saves to begin the new year.

Kinley allowed one hit and walked two while striking out one in a scoreless inning Friday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley is a candidate to serve as Colorado's closer, though he entered Friday's game with the Rockies down 7-3 in the eighth inning. He was also shaky in his first outing of the campaign, allowing a leadoff double before walking two. He escaped the jam, but it appears that Justin Lawrence may be in line to get the first chance for saves.

Kinley has thrown five scoreless innings while maintaining a 7:2 K:BB during Cactus League action.
EDGE Analysis
Kinley is in competition for the closer role with Justin Lawrence, and both pitchers have performed well this spring. Kinley has allowed only one base hit across his five innings of work and has at least one strikeout in all five of his appearances. That doesn't guarantee he'll be first in line for save chances, but he's certainly made a strong case for the role.
