Tyler Clippard Struggles as the Opener on Wednesday rotoballer.com Thu 6/6/19 12:28 AM
Cleveland Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard served as the opener on Wednesday, but struggled, allowing two runs on two hits in 1 1/3 innings. Clippard actually got through a scoreless first inning, but sending him out for the second proved to be a mistake. He's been a decent enough middle reliever this season, but doesn't hold much fantasy value at this point in his career.
Tyler Clippard Now Starting Wednesday for Indians rotoballer.com Wed 6/5/19 2:51 PM
Cleveland Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard will open Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins after scheduled starter Carlos Carrasco was placed on the injured list with a blood condition. It is not clear who if anyone will pitch the bulk of the innings for Cleveland or whether it will be a bullpen game. With this development, all Twins hitters in the top half of the lineup become solid DFS plays.
Tyler Clippard Added to Indians Roster rotoballer.com Thu 4/25/19 6:35 PM
Cleveland Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard has been recalled from Triple-A on Thursday. He suffered a pectoral strain in spring training, but appears ready to pitch now. Jefry Rodriguez has been sent down in a corresponding move. Rodriguez had a 2.13 ERA across 12 2/3 innings of work, so he shouldn't be in the minors for too long. Clippard is expected to serve as middle relief in the bullpen and won't have much fantasy appeal.

Cleveland Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard will miss the next three to four weeks due to a mild pectoral strain. Clippard was removed from a March 9 appearance and felt continued discomfort when attempting to restart his throwing program this week. Clippard is competing for a spot in the Cleveland bullpen, but he will now be forced to start the season on the newly-named Injured List.

The Cleveland Indians signed free-agent relief pitcher Tyler Clippard on Wednesday. It's a minor league deal, but Clippard can make $1.75 million if he's on the major league roster with an additional $1 million in incentives. The 34-year-old journeyman reliever had a 3.67 ERA, 1.17 [...]
2019 Relief Pitchers - Early Fantasy Baseball Tiered Rankings rotoballer.com Mon 1/14/19 7:00 AM
A tough position to evaluate is that of relief pitchers, as a lot of success for closers comes from success from teams. There are also a lot of bullpens by committee these days, further stifling the value of closers. That being said, only four of the pitchers that ranked in the top-10 in saves in 2017 followed up in 2018. One of those pitchers had a huge jump in saves, but [...]

Tyler Clippard To Start Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 9:42 AM
Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tyler Clippard will make the start on Thursday against the Mariners. Clippard has appeared in 53 games for Toronto this year, but all have been in relief, and he hasn't gone more than 1 2/3 innings in any single outing. That means he won't be long for this start and shouldn't be touched in any fantasy format.

Happy Kyle Tucker weekend, everyone! Oh, and I guess it was also some big American holiday recently, so cheers to those of you who celebrate Kyle Tucker's independence from the Minor Leagues. Okay, obviously you're adding Tucker whereever possible, but he's already 46% owned so he doesn't really qualify as someone I figure most of you can get. Let's chat about some widely-available assets instead, shall we?

MLB Closers and Saves Report - Week 15 rotoballer.com Fri 7/6/18 3:45 AM
LeBron to the Dodgers? Yellow card and an early exit for Mike Trout? It was an eventful week in sports, but not so much in baseball, and even less in the bullpens. One closer hit the disabled list while another came off, and a West Coast committee started to clear up a bit.
With the trade deadline approaching, this week seemed very much like the calm before the storm. We heard about teams interested in acquiring some bullpen pieces, but haven't had any deals materialize just yet outside of th[...]
