Bauer will start Game 4 of the ALDS against the Yankees on Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer will get the chance to close out the Bronx Bombers after they staved off elimination with a 1-0 win in Game 3 on Sunday. The 26-year-old will look to continue his success from Game 1 in Cleveland, when he twirled 6.2 innings of scoreless ball while striking out eight and giving up just two hits. He'll toe the bump opposite the Yankees' Luis Severino.

Bauer will start Game 1 of the ALDS against either the Yankees or Twins.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer will get the start after putting together a strong second half, compiling a healthy 3.01 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 83.2 innings since the All-Star break. By giving Bauer the ball in Game 1, the Indians strategically line up their ace, Corey Kluber, to pitch Game 2 -- and a potential Game 5 -- on normal rest.

Bauer (17-9) allowed just one run on four hits in six innings pitched en route to the victory Friday against the White Sox. He struck out seven.

EDGE Analysis

The only blemish on an otherwise solid day was a fourth-inning homer off the bat of infielder Yolmer Sanchez. Bauer still displayed some control issues, as just 49 of his 80 offerings went for strikes, but it's promising to see that he managed to avoid walking anyone even when he worked into unfavorable counts. The 26-year-old will now set his sights for the postseason after producing a 4.19 ERA, a 10.0 K/9 and a 17-9 record during the regular season.

Bauer gave up only one run on five hits and three walks over seven innings Friday while striking out six but didn't factor into the decision in a 3-1 loss to the Mariners.

EDGE Analysis

It's the righty's fourth quality start in his last five outings, with the only miss being the loss that ended Cleveland's historic 22-game win streak. Bauer now has a 3.13 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 86:26 K:BB in 77.2 second-half innings, and he'll get one more chance to improve those numbers Thursday at home against the Twins.

Bauer (16-9) took the loss Friday after allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out six Royals over 5.1 innings.

EDGE Analysis

The AL's leader in wins became the first Indians pitcher to lose a game since Corey Kluber dropped one to Boston back on Aug. 23. Friday not only ended the Tribe's 22-game winning streak, but it put a stop to Bauer's run of nine straight wins (over 11 starts). It obviously wasn't the righty's night, as he allowed a season high in hits while surrendering multiple homers for just the second time in his last 22 outings. Bauer will look to rebound in his next start Thursday against the Angels.

Bauer (16-8) earned the win over the Orioles on Sunday night, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out seven over 6.1 innings. He did not issue a walk.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer kept the O's off the board through five and the bullpen cleaned up late to extend the Indians' winning streak to 18 games. The 26-year-old has earned wins in five consecutive starts and has won nine straight decisions, with his last lost coming back on July 16. He's made strides with his control, posting a 2.6 BB/9 over his last 11 starts. Up next: a home matchup with the Royals.

Bauer (15-8) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk across 6.1 innings to earn the win Monday against the White Sox. He struck out nine.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer kept the basepaths clear to great effect in this one and was only scored upon via a two-run home run from Rymer Liriano in the fifth inning. He induced 16 swinging strikes while delivering one of his highest strikeout totals of the season. Bauer has been on a tremendous run of late, allowing three earned runs or fewer in eight of his last nine starts and winning eight straight decisions. He will take a 4.39 ERA into Saturday's start against the Orioles.

Bauer (14-8) beat the Yankees in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader, allowing one run on four hits with four walks and four strikeouts over six innings.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer was more wild than usual in this one, but still pitched effectively to improve to 7-0 in his past nine starts. The eccentric 26-year-old further raised his career-high win total and also sports a career-best 9.97 K/9 thanks to an excellent 161:55 K:BB in 145.1 innings. He'll have a great opportunity to pick up yet another road victory next Tuesday against a White Sox team with the worst record in the AL.

Bauer will now start Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees after Tuesday's game was postponed due to rain.

EDGE Analysis

Tuesday's game will be played as a doubleheader on Wednesday, so the Indians will simply push Bauer's scheduled start back by a day. He'll look to continue his impressive run of form, as the 26-year-old has compiled a 2.20 ERA and 45:10 K:BB through 40.1 innings over his last six starts. With the change of dates, Bauer will no longer make two starts this week.

Bauer (13-8) beat Boston Thursday after allowing four runs on seven hits with three walks and eight strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

EDGE Analysis

Bauer surprisingly got seven runs of support in the first three innings against Boston ace Chris Sale in what ended as a 13-6 victory. The righty took a step back after five consecutive quality starts, but still improved his record since July 21 to 6-0. Bauer's coming alive at the right time for a Cleveland team looking to pull away in the AL Central race, but will have a tough matchup next time out Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.
