Turner will play second base and hit seventh as the Nationals host the Padres on Friday, Dan Kolko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner will look to extend his five-game hitting streak tonight as the Nationals face Padres right-hander Luis Perdomo. In his short time with the Nationals, Turner is hitting .290/.313/.452 with three stolen bases in 31 at-bats. With Ryan Zimmerman expected to return soon, Turner must continue to play well if he wants to remain on the Nationals roster.

Turner went 1-for-4 against the Dodgers on Wednesday with a triple, an RBI and a run -- which he scored by stealing home.
EDGE Analysis
He became just the third National in franchise history to steal home, reacting to the Dodgers catching Danny Espinosa between first and second by taking off from third and sliding in ahead of the tag. Turner's looked good in his first seven MLB games of the year, knocking out eight hits in 26 at-bats (.308) with a couple steals. He's also tripled in consecutive games.

Turner got the start at second base and hit leadoff in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers, going 1-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI.
EDGE Analysis
With both Anthony Rendon and Stephen Drew sidelined due to a flu bug, Turner is finally getting a chance at regular at-bats and has collected four hits in his last three games. He'll likely return to the bench once the roster gets healthier in a couple of days, however.

Turner got the start at second base Sunday, going 2-for-7 with his first stolen base of the season in an 18-inning loss to the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
He showed some jitters in extra innings, bobbling a potential double play ball and then getting thrown out at second base trying to stretch a single in the 17th, but Turner also showed flashes of being the dynamic leadoff hitter his minor league performance suggests he can be. He only got into the lineup with Daniel Murphy (hamstring) unavailable and Anthony Rendon (illness) a late scratch though, so it seems clear manager Dusty Baker doesn't view Turner as quite ready for regular duty.

Turner, a late addition to Sunday's lineup, will bat leadoff in the series finale against the Pirates, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner was originally scheduled to get the day off Sunday, but after fellow infielder Anthony Rendon was scratched due to flu-like symptoms, he was inserted into the order. Furthermore, rather than just add him to the bottom, manager Dusty Baker will use him atop the order, a place he's been used twice since getting called up. So far this season, the 23-year-old has collected four hits in 11 at-bats.

Turner is leading off and playing second base for the Nats on Sunday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel Murphy is sliding over to play first base to open up the keystone for Turner, whose assignment to the leadoff spot is likely the byproduct of Ben Revere getting the day off.

Turner is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals will keep the same lineup that they've used for the past two games Saturday, meaning Turner will spend another game on the bench. That said, MASN's Mark Zuckerman notes that Turner could draw into the lineup at second base Sunday with the Nationals facing a left-hander, which would result in Daniel Murphy sliding over to first base and Clint Robinson getting the day off.

Turner was recalled by the Nationals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Turner, the Nationals' top infield prospect, will join the big club for the second time this season. There isn't an immediate opening for him with the Nationals at shortstop -- or in center field, for that matter -- but the team did place Ryan Zimmerman on the disabled list Friday in a corresponding move, so there may be times where Daniel Murphy and Danny Espinosa both shift to the right and allow Turner to see some starts at the shortstop position.

Turner will apparently be called up by the Nationals on Friday, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dusty Baker said the Nationals would make a roster move Friday, and Turner is reportedly on his way to New York, so it appears he will be the player getting the call. It's not immediately apparent where Turner will fit in the Nationals' lineup, or if he will remain with the team after the All-Star break, but he has spent time in center field of late, so he could be used as a super-utility player if he stays with the big league club for good.

Turner got the start in center field for Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
He went an uncharacteristic 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a walk, but his focus was likely in the field rather than at the plate as he'd never played the outfield before as a pro. The Nationals could desperately use Turner's on-base skills at the top of their lineup, but Danny Espinosa has played just well enough at shortstop to keep the job and Daniel Murphy isn't budging from second base, so the team is getting creative as they try to find a spot in the lineup for him. Current Nats center field options Ben Revere and Michael Taylor have also combined for an unsightly .251 OBP and 566 OPS. Having to adjust to a new defensive position could delay Turner's promotion even further however, so at this point don't expect to see him in Washington until after the All-Star break at least.
