Travis Shaw to Begin Rehab Assignment on Wednesday rotoballer.com Sun 5/19/19 12:50 PM
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Travis Shaw (wrist) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on Wednesday. He reportedly took 75 swings on Sunday and didn't feel any discomfort. It sounds like Shaw is ready to test his wrist in game action. He'll likely see at least three or more rehab games before he's ready to return. Shaw could be back in possibly a week, but the Brewers haven't set a timetable yet.
The Cut List (Week 8) - Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 5/19/19 7:00 AM
May is half over. That's scarcely believable, but it's true. Much more believable but equally true: there are plenty of players that should be axed. April showers can't bring May flowers for everyone, and some players even got that proverb mixed up: they are following up April flowers with damp May production. This analogy is failing, so let's move on to the serious part.Stats are through Friday, May 17. As we say every week: Remember that these recommendations are for standard leagues up to 12 [...]

Now that we are midway through May, it's a perfect time to update our Rest-of-Season mixed rankings and provide some analysis. RotoBaller writers Nick Mariano, Pierre Camus, Bill Dubiel and Scott Engel want you to crush the competition and know that rankings can't end on draft day.Third base has been hit-and-miss in the early goings. A lot of the predictable studs are being studly, a few surprises have risen through the ranks. I'm most fascinated by some of the guys who were drafted early but wh[...]
Champ or Chump: Keston Hiura and Jose Ramirez rotoballer.com Thu 5/16/19 7:00 AM
The Brewers have summoned top prospect Keston Hiura to replace the injured (and struggling) Travis Shaw on their roster, giving fantasy owners another hyped toy to play with. Unfortunately, it appears as though the excitement surrounding the 22-year-old's big league debut far outpaces his realistic output, potentially driving many owners to waste FAAB or waiver priority.Meanwhile, owners who drafted Jose Ramirez expected elite production have received nothing close to it. Exactly who is Jose Ram[...]

Hot Prospects To Watch - Riley Rising, Dalbec Raking, Pearson Impre... rotoballer.com Tue 5/14/19 1:25 PM
If you missed it, the Brewers called up their top prospect Tuesday morning -- hitting prodigy and second baseman Keston Hiura -- to make his major league debut this week. The ninth overall pick of the 2017 draft was hitting .333 with a .408 on-base percentage, 1.106 OPS, 11 homers and 26 RBI in 37 games with Triple-A San Antonio. It looks like Travis Shaw (wrist) will head to the injured list, and he's also hitting a mere .163 in 135 at-bats, which is the lowest among qualified hitters in the Nat[...]
Travis Shaw Likely Heading to the Injured List rotoballer.com Tue 5/14/19 1:01 PM
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Travis Shaw (wrist) is likely heading to the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a wrist injury. It has been a very slow start to the 2019 season for the 29-year-old, who is batting just .163 with four home runs and 50 strikeouts through 135 at-bats. Top prospect Keston Hiura has been called up while Mike Moustakas will likely shift over to third base. Shaw is a safe drop candidate in shallow leagues, while Hiura should be picked up in all formats.
