Managers in the past have benched players for this sort of situation, so it would not come as a surprise to see Travis Shaw possibly benched for Sunday's bout against the Philadelphia Phillies. This will almost certainly be one-time thing and Shaw will be back in the lineup on Monday if he is benched.
