Every hitter on this week's Cut List comes with a list of categories in which a need indicates greater or lesser use for the player to be on your team.Stats are through Friday, June 28. [...]

Travis D'Arnaud Goes Deep Twice rotoballer.com Thu 6/6/19 11:03 PM

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Travis D'Arnaud went 2-for-3 with two homers in the Rays win over the Tigers Thursday. The catcher was brought in because of injuries to Mike Zunino and Anthony Bemboom (knee) and is hitting .360 with two home runs in the past two weeks. He's fine being left off of rosters as Mike Zunino has returned to take over the main catching duties once again. However, it's a nice boost for the Rays backup catcher to have a hot bat.

Travis d'Arnaud Off on Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 5/29/19 6:25 PM

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Travis D'Arnaud (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. D'Arnaud has struggled to find his groove with the bat since joining the Rays. Veteran Erik Kratz will draw the start behind the plate and bat eighth versus righty Trent Thornton. Both d'Arnaud and Kratz can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Travis d'Arnaud Getting The Day Off rotoballer.com Thu 5/23/19 5:48 PM

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Travis D'Arnaud (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Indians. d'Arnaud has done basically nothing at the plate all season, so it's not surprising to see him taking a seat here. Erik Kratz will draw the start behind the plate and bat eighth versus righty Adam Plutko. Neither d'Arnaud nor Kratz need to be owned in fantasy leagues.

Travis d'Arnaud is Sitting on Saturday rotoballer.com Sat 5/18/19 11:50 AM

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Travis D'Arnaud (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. The newly acquired catcher will sit this one out, but should be back in there on Sunday. Erik Kratz will draw the start behind the plate and bat ninth versus righty Masahiro Tanaka. Kratz can be avoided in DFS contests and fantasy leagues. However, d'Arnaud is worth a look in AL-only leagues, but that's about it.

Travis D'Arnaud Hitting Fifth In Rays Debut rotoballer.com Sat 5/11/19 3:08 PM

After getting acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday, Travis D'Arnaud is making his Tampa Bay Rays debut on Saturday batting out of the fifth spot and starting at catcher. A disappointing career has led him to his third team of the season as he'll fill in for Mike Zunino who was recently placed on the IL. D'Arnaud isn't fantasy relevant in any format unless you're in a two-catcher AL-only league. Now at age-30, his career .242/.303/.400 slash line would be the best-case scenario for D[...]

Rays Acquire Travis d'Arnaud From Dodgers rotoballer.com Fri 5/10/19 7:27 PM

The Tampa Bay Rays traded for catcher Travis D'Arnaud from the Dodgers on Friday. The Rays had a hole at catcher after Mike Zunino was placed on the injured list and they filled it with the oft-injured dArnaud. In 11 games played this season between the Mets and Dodgers, dArnaud is hitting just .083 with no extra-base hits. Once a top prospect with Toronto and New York, dArnaud has never been able to live up to his billing, never playing more than 112 games. dArnaud is simply a roster filler for[...]

Travis d'Arnaud Signs With The Dodgers rotoballer.com Sun 5/5/19 11:38 PM

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed free-agent catcher Travis D'Arnaud (Mets) to a one-year contract on Sunday and they optioned infielder/outfielder Matt Beaty to Triple-A Oklahoma City in the corresponding roster move. Manager Dave Roberts said the team wanted another right-handed bat, and that they will also use d'Arnaud in the infield as well as the outfielder, while he also helps out as one of the three catchers. He remains useful in NL-only fantasy leagues, especially for his positional versa[...]
