Torii Hunter (hamstring) is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Royals. Hunter left Monday's game with a right hamstring cramp and needs at least one day to recuperate. J.D. Martinez will make the start in right field Tuesday while Rajai Davis plays left.

Torii Hunter is being listed as day-to-day after being diagnosed with a right hamstring cramp. Obviously a cramp is much better than a strain, so it appears Hunter might have dodged a bullet here. Expect the veteran outfielder to sit out another game or two just in case, but it sounds like he'll be OK.

Torii Hunter left Monday's game versus the Royals with an apparent right hamstring injury. Hunter grabbed the back of his leg after rounding first base in the fourth inning following a single and was removed for a pinch-runner. The Tigers should provide an update on the veteran outfielder's status before long.

Torii Hunter had a big day at the plate in Friday's victory over the Red Sox, going 3-for-4 with a homer and a pair of runs scored. Hunter connected on his solo shot as part of back-to-back homers with Ian Kinsler off opposing starter Rubby De La Rosa in the fifth inning. The three-hit effort propels his line on the season up to .270/.295/.460 to go along with nine homers and 31 RBI.

Torii Hunter's solo home run off Scott Kazmir was the only run Detroit could manage in Wednesday's 3-1 setback. The veteran outfielder has gone 4-for-8 with a double and a pair of homers over the past two games after going 3-for-29 in the seven contests before that. Although no longer an elite fantasy player, Hunter has remained a mixed league mainstay at 38-years-old by batting .282 with eight homers. He's on pace for 96 RBI and 83 runs.

Torii Hunter went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's loss to the Athletics. Hunter wasn't the only one not hitting, as the Tigers were shut out on five hits while also making three errors. The veteran outfielder has been in a slide at the dish of late with just three hits over his last 29 plate appearances, dropping his season line to .271/.303/.440.

Torii Hunter went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Indians. Hunter's sixth home run of the season was a first inning solo home run off of Trevor Bauer. The 38-year-old is still alive and kicking, slashing .293/.323/.476 with 24 RBI.

Torii Hunter drove home a run with an RBI single in the first inning on Friday, which would prove to be the difference in the Tigers 1-0 victory over the Red Sox. Hunter finished the night 2-for-4. It looked as though the Tigers were going to break things open against Jon Lester in the first inning, but had to settle for just the one run which Max Scherzer and company made sure was enough to stand up. Hunter is now slashing .305/.338/.461 with four homers and 21 RBI on the season.

Torii Hunter is not in the Tigers' lineup Wednesday. Hunter was still sore but was in the lineup Tuesday following Monday's hit by pitch in the ribs. It's not clear if the hit by pitch is the reason for his absence from Wednesday's lineup, but it would make sense. J.D. Martinez is in right field Wednesday.

Torii Hunter went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Sunday's win over the Royals. Hunter came through with an RBI single in the third inning before bringing in two more with a bases-loaded single in the eighth inning. The runs batted in gives him 19 RBI on the year to go with a .319/.347/.521 line.
