Zych (biceps) tossed covered one inning during a rehab appearance Sunday with Triple-A Tacoma, conceding three hits, including a three-run homer, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Zych getting touched up a bit in his second rehab appearance with Tacoma, it doesn't look like the Mariners are eager to activate him from the 10-day disabled list just yet. Manager Scott Servais noted that Zych feels fine physically, but he'll likely need to turn in a couple quality outings in the minors before the organization feels comfortable moving him back to the big leagues.

Zych (biceps) will start and pitch one inning for Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zych required biceps tendon transfer surgery at the end of last season and had his spring training debut pushed back as a result. He's nearing major league readiness, and if he shows well in his rehab appearances, he could join the major league club shortly.

Zych (biceps) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Although Zych was recently able to get back on the mound after undergoing biceps tendon transfer surgery, he's still not quite ready to pitch at the big league level. Zych figures to start the season in the minors.

Zych fired a 1-2-3 inning against Double-A San Antonio on Wednesday, Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was another one-inning rehab outing for Zych, who'll continue to round back into shape from biceps tendon transfer surgery in the minors once the regular season starts. He needed only 10 pitches to get through his one frame, his third such appearance this spring.

Zych (biceps) made his spring debut in Sunday's 7-6 Cactus League win over the Reds, giving up a hit and a walk over a scoreless inning. He also recorded a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's already slated to begin the season in the minors, Zych was able to get some work in against major league bats for the first time since last October. The 27-year-old took a ball off his ankle from the first batter he faced and allowed an inherited runner to score, but he did manage to escape without any earned runs on his tally. Zych is likely to receive more work over the last week of spring training before heading down to begin a throwing program.

Manager Scott Servais announced Sunday that Zych (biceps) will begin the season in the minor leagues on a throwing plan, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zych is expected to pitch today against the Reds, but it appears the team is looking to ease the reliever back into action by having him begin the year in the minors. When healthy, Zych is a valuable piece of the Mariners' bullpen.

Zych (biceps) is scheduled for an inning of relief in Sunday's game against the Reds, his first Cactus League action of the spring, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zych is making his way back from biceps surgery and he'll work in a game with the big club a day earlier than previously expected. He is battling Edwin Diaz and Steve Cishek (hip) for a prominent role in the late innings for manager Scott Servais. Even if he isn't used for saves he could be valuable for holds and his high strikeout rate.

Zych (biceps) recorded a perfect inning while facing Rangers minor leaguers Thursday, his first in-game action since October surgery for a biceps tendon transfer, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander tossed only 12 pitches (eight strikes) while inducing two groundouts and striking out the last of three Double-A Frisco batters. The 26-year-old is expected to suit up for his first Cactus League action March 27 with possibly one more spring outing that could line him up for a regular-season debut soon afterward. Considered a fantasy sleeper for saves in recent years, Zych now has a steeper hill to climb behind Edwin Diaz and, when healthy, Steve Cishek (hip), though his big strikeout ability may make him useful sometime this season in leagues that value non-closer relievers.

Zych (biceps) plans to throw in a minor-league game Thursday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will be Zych's first appearance in a game setting since he underwent biceps surgery last October. With less than two weeks remaining before Opening Day, Zych isn't likely to build up his arm strength in time and will likely open the season on the DL, but he won't necessarily be in store for an extended absence.

Zych (biceps) threw another successful batting practice session Sunday, Doug Miller of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zych continues his steady progress from October surgery, as he now has two successful batting practice sessions under his belt. Manager Scott Servais said that his young reliever made it out of Sunday's work without setbacks and could potentially make his spring debut this week.
