Beckham went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI out of the six hole in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Both homers were off Red Sox ace Chris Sale, against four-seam fastballs clocked at 93.4 and 92.1 mph. Beckham had multiple hits in both games in Japan, and is now 7-for-12 with three homers and five RBI through three regular-season games. The 2008 No. 1 overall pick is looking to make the most of his opportunity to start this season and show that 2017 was no fluke after a disappointing follow-up last year.

Beckham went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run in an extra-innings win over the Athletics in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Beckham put a bow on a highly successful season-opening two-game set by ripping an eighth-inning two-bagger off Lou Trivino, his second extra-base hit in the series. The hot-hitting infielder had put together a 3-for-3 opener Wednesday that included a home run, so his quest to parlay his modest one-year, $1.75 million contract into a lucrative long-term deal is certainly off to a rousing start.

Beckham went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, two RBI and one walk in Wednesday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners elected to send J.P. Crawford to Triple-A and give Beckham the reins at shortstop to start the season. While Crawford may be the shortstop of the not-so-distant future, Beckham's 2017 season was more impressive than anything Crawford has done in years, so it's possible he holds the job longer than some anticipate. Beckham slotted into the eighth spot in the order.

Beckham appears to be the clear starting shortstop in Seattle after J.P. Crawford was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford could eventually return to claim the role, but Beckham has little competition for now. Dee Gordon can fill in at short but will be needed at second base, while Dylan Moore is likely to play a utility role.

Beckham agreed to a one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Mariners on Thursday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old struggled in his first full season with the Orioles last season, producing just a .230/.287/.374 slash line with 12 homers and 35 RBI. Beckham does have experience at each infield position, though, which could help him carve out a role as a reserve utility infielder for Seattle.

Beckham went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs in Sunday's 6-3 victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Serving as the designated hitter, Beckham hit a solo homer off J.A. Happ in the second inning and added a two-run shot in the sixth inning off A.J. Cole. The homers were his 11th and 12th of the season. Despite the power outburst, Beckham still only sports a .225/.281/.370 slash line for the season.
