Tim Anderson Will Lead Off on Saturday rotoballer.com Sat 9/1/18 2:02 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will lead off and play shortstop versus lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on Saturday. Anderson continues to jump around in the batting order for the South Siders this season. The team has been unable to find reliable spot for Anderson in their batting order. Rodriguez has pitched well this season, but this is his first start since July. Anderson is at least worth a look in DFS contests on Saturday.

Tim Anderson is Back in the Lineup Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 8/30/18 3:03 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (ankle) is back in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Anderson sat out on Wednesday after suffering a left ankle bruise on Tuesday. He'll play shortstop and bat fifth versus righty Rick Porcello. Anderson is worth considering for DFS contests, but there is likely better shortstop options out there on Thursday.

Tim Anderson is Sitting Out on Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 8/29/18 2:07 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (ankle) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees. Anderson was pulled from Tuesday's game in the ninth inning due to a left ankle bruise. Jose Rondon will play shortstop and bat second against lefty C.C. Sabathia. Rondon has struggled versus right-handed pitching this season, so he should be avoided in DFS contests. Anderson is day-to-day, so he should be back in the lineup soon.

Tim Anderson Day-To-Day rotoballer.com Tue 8/28/18 6:42 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (ankle) left the game early on Tuesday with a bruised left ankle and is being listed as day-to-day. Anderson was hitless in four plate appearances with two strikeouts in the game before departing. He could miss a game or two but doesn't appear to be in danger of landing on the disabled list. On the year, Anderson is batting .247 with 17 home runs, 69 runs scored, 58 RBI and 25 stolen bases. He should be owned in all fantasy leagues.

The Cut List (Week 21): Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 8/19/18 4:00 AM

Welcome to Week 21 of the Cut List. Last week we saw Jon Lester and Jed Lowrie bounce back after enduring major slumps in July. Those weren't the best calls I've made this year, to say the least. This week I'm taking a look at Brian Anderson, Kyle Schwarber, Sean Newcomb, and Chris Taylor. All four players should be cut in most standard shallow formats.   Want some waiver wire advice to make up for those necessary cuts? Make sure you check out our waiver wire blog for the best pickup[...]

Tim Anderson Won’t Start Wednesday rotoballer.com Wed 8/15/18 8:16 AM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will receive Wednesday off versus the Detroit Tigers. It's just a routine day off for Anderson who is replaced at shortstop by Yolmer Sanchez and he will face Jordan Zimmermann Wednesday. Anderson is hitting .242 with 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 22 stolen bases on the year and is expected back in the lineup Friday versus the Royals.

Tim Anderson Will Lead Off on Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/14/18 2:25 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will move up in the batting order for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Anderson normally bats seventh, but will bat first and play shortstop versus lefty Blaine Hardy on Tuesday. Anderson is hitting .174/.174/.348 over the last week, but hopefully a move to the top of the batting order will help. He's worth considering in DFS contests. Normally Anderson is not a great DFS option, but batting first against a mediocre pitcher should help.

The Cut List (Week 20): Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 8/12/18 5:00 AM

Welcome to Week 20 of the Cut List. This week I'm taking a look at Starlin Castro, Jon Lester, Jed Lowrie, and Eric Thames. I explain why each player should be dropped in most standard shallow leagues. Last week's cut candidates (Cesar Hernandez, Matt Kemp, Asdrubal Cabrera, Tim Anderson) went a combined 16-for-66 with seven runs, two home runs, eight RBI, and one stolen base. I think last week was one of my better pieces all year and I hope my suggestions have helped through twenty weeks. [...]

The Cut List (Week 19): Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 8/5/18 4:00 AM

Welcome to Week 19 of the Cut List. Special thanks to Kyle Bishop for filling in for me last week while I was out of town on vacation in northern Minnesota. His cut suggestions were pretty much fantastic. This week I'm taking a look at Cesar Hernandez, Matt Kemp, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Tim Anderson. All four of these guys should be cut in most shallow standard formats. Don't hesitate dropping them for a surging bat or a hot arm. Playoff time is approaching and you need to shed dead assets and[...]

Tim Anderson Moves Up in the Batting Order rotoballer.com Wed 7/25/18 1:41 PM

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will play shortstop and bat first against Angels' lefty Tyler Skaggs. Anderson has put together three straight multi-hit games, so he'll jump up in the batting order. It's unclear whether not Anderson will stay first in the batting order or if he'll move back to the seventh spot after he cools off. Regardless, Anderson is worth a look in DFS contests for Wednesday.
