Its a tough blow for fantasy owners and Leury Garcia is expected to see the bulk of the work at shortstop. Garcia can be left on waivers outside of AL-only leagues.

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (wrist) is back at shortstop and is hitting seventh on Wednesday against Royals starting pitcher Glenn Sparkman. Anderson missed some games this week with a sore wrist, but he's back in there and should return to fantasy lineups as well. The 25-year-old has been highly effective for his owners in 2019, hitting .337/.369/.506 with eight home runs, 28 runs scored, 25 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 178 at-bats for the Pale Hose.
