Bibee didn't factor in the decision Tuesday against the Twins despite giving up one run on five hits and no walks across seven innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander had little trouble dispatching Minnesota outside the fifth inning, which is when Ty France knotted the game 1-1 with a solo homer. Bibee threw 64 of 92 pitches for strikes, and the improved command was a welcome sight with it being the first time through six starts this year that he didn't walk a batter. The long ball continues to be a concern as he's already given up nine homers, but Bibee is trending up with just three runs allowed in his past two starts.

Bibee (2-2) allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over six innings Tuesday, striking out five and earning a win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee was taken deep by Ben Rice on the first pitch of the game, but the Yankees didn't plate another run until Jazz Chisholm's sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. Bibee picked up his first win since his season debut March 30; he was 0-2 with an 8.16 ERA in three starts between wins. The 26-year-old threw 70 of 106 pitches for strikes but forced only four whiffs. Bibee now owns a 5.19 ERA with a 20:14 K:BB through 26 innings. He's projected to face the Twins at home next week.

Bibee (1-2) came away with the loss against the Orioles on Thursday. He allowed six runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five across 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee put the Guardians on the back foot in the first inning when he yielded a solo shot to Gunnar Henderson, and the former gave the Orioles the lead again in the third inning on a three-run homer by Ryan O'Hearn. Bibbee was able to get through the fourth and fifth frames unscathed and was one out away from escaping the sixth, but his 80 mph changeup to Heston Kjerstad was smacked to right-center field for a two-run shot to extend the Guardians' deficit to four runs. Bibee hasn't allowed a run in two of his four starts this season, but in his other two outings he's given up a combined 13 runs (including seven homers) over 9.2 innings. Things won't get easier for Bibee in his next start, which is lined up for next week at home against Aaron Judge and the Yankees.

Bibee didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 7-0 win over Kansas City, allowing three hits and four walks while striking out four batters over 4.2 shutout innings.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee needed to retire just one more batter to qualify for his second win of the season, but after walking Bobby Witt in the fifth inning, the right-hander's pitch count had already climbed to 96. The Guardians decided to pull him early for Tim Herrin, who collected the final out and went on to take home the win. Bibee now sits on a 4.40 ERA and 1.40 WHIP entering his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come in Baltimore next week -- though all of the damage done from him comes from his disastrous performance against the Angels.

Bibee (1-1) took the loss against the Angels on Saturday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four batters over four-plus innings.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee got off to a rough start when he gave up three runs on two long balls in the first inning. The right-hander kept the Angels quiet while Cleveland tied the score over the next three frames, but things fell apart for him in the fifth, as Los Angeles got to him for a pair of two-run homers before he could retire a batter. This was the first time in Bibee's career that he's given up four home runs in one game, and he's been pretty good at keeping the ball in the park throughout his career, as he entered 2025 surrendering less than a homer per nine innings across 315.2 regular-season frames. Bibee will look to bounce back in his next start, which tentatively lines up to be at home against Kansas City next week.

Bibee (1-0) allowed two hits and two walks over 5.2 shutout innings Sunday, striking out two and earning a win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee was in line to be Cleveland's Opening Day starter, but an illness pushed his start back a few days. He coughed up a couple of extra-base knocks Sunday but was able to skate around danger in the scoreless performance. While the two punchouts and nine whiffs are a bit disappointing, the 26-year-old righty picked up where he left off last year after posting a 3.47 ERA across 173.2 regular-season frames. Bibee is lined up for a road matchup against the Angels next weekend.

Bibee (illness) will start Sunday against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee had to be scratched from his Opening Day start after coming down with food poisoning, so he will now take the ball for his season debut Sunday. Luis L. Ortiz was in line to start Sunday but has been pushed back to Monday versus the Padres, setting him up for a two-start week.

Bibee has been scratched from his scheduled start Thursday against the Royals due to acute gastroenteritis, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee is recovering from a bout with food poisoning and will get some extra time off to recuperate. Ben Lively will be pushed up in the pitching schedule and will get the Opening Day nod in place of Bibee, who could still make his season debut later on in the three-game series in Kansas City, depending on how quickly he bounces back from the stomach bug.

Bibee signed a five-year, $48 million contract extension with the Guardians on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee's new deal will buy out all three of his arbitration years and potentially two years beyond that if the Guardians elect to exercise their club option in 2030. The 26-year-old righty has been one of Cleveland's most reliable starters since reaching the big leagues, turning in a 3.25 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across his two MLB seasons. He's continued to look sharp in spring training, throwing nine shutout innings over his two starts, and he's set to take the mound for Cleveland on Thursday in what will be his first career Opening Day start.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt on Wednesday named Bibee the team's Opening Day starter for their March 27 matchup versus the Royals, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bibee will be opposed by Cole Ragans in the American League Central showdown. The 26-year-old Bibee has looked sharp this spring, tossing nine scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. Bibee finished the 2024 regular season with a 3.47 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 187:44 K:BB across 173.2 frames.
