Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright (knee) will throw a simulated game on Sunday and will do some fielding practice on Monday. Manager Alex Cora said Wright is putting himself in the conversation to be included on the World Series roster. The knuckleballer continues to battle issues with his knee after having surgery last offseason. The right-hander had a 2.68 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 7.0 K/9 in 20 outings (four starts) in 2018. If he does make the roster, he'll work in a relief role for Boston.

Wright had been out of commission since June 23, and now he will head back to the Red Sox bullpen. Wright was actually a solid streaming option before succumbing to injury, as he allowed one run or fewer in three of his four starts this season. Alas, his fantasy value is practically non-existent now as the Red Sox rotation already has a solid stable of arms.
