Kwan went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and an additional run scored in a 4-3 loss to Kansas City on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan found his power stroke in 2024, hitting 14 homers -- more than his 2022 and 2023 seasons combined. He's off to a good start in that department in 2025. The left fielder is 3-for-7 in the first two games of the year with three runs, one homer, one double and no strikeouts. Hitting at the top of the Cleveland lineup should allow Kwan to score plenty of runs once again.

Kwan started in left field and went 2-for-3 with a home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's spring game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan made his Cactus League debut and made an immediate impact. He singled to leadoff the bottom of the first inning and came around to score on a Tyler Freeman double. He later opened the bottom of the third with a solo home run. He's coming off a season in which he earned his first All-Star selection and should resume a role as the Guardians' leadoff batter.

Kwan agreed to a one-year, $4.175 million contract with the Guardians on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan slashed .292/.368/.425 with 14 homers, 44 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 122 games last season -- good enough to earn himself a $3.4 million salary bump in his first year of arbitration eligibility. While reaching 10 home runs again in 2025 is far from a guarantee for the 27-year-old outfielder, he's still worthy of fantasy attention based on his contact skills.

Kwan isn't in Cleveland's lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan will get a day to rest Saturday after going 0-for-1 with two walks and a HBP during Friday's series opener. His absence will open a spot in right field for Jhonkensy Noel to start while batting eighth.

Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan returned from the injured list with a bang, homering in his first at-bat since Sep. 12. The outfielder has hit safely five straight contests, and his 14 long balls exceed his combined total from the previous two seasons by three. On the year, he is hitting .292 with 44 RBI, 83 runs scored and 12 steals across 536 plate appearances and looks healthy as the postseason approaches.

The Guardians activated Kwan (back) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday. He'll bat leadoff and start in left field in the Guardians' series finale with the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan has been out since mid-September with back inflammation but has been cleared to return to action to knock a little rust off ahead of the postseason. The outfielder has had a rough second half (.588 OPS) but had reached base 11 times over his last four games before going on the IL.

Kwan (back) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan had missed five consecutive starts due to back discomfort and now his absence will be even longer than anticipated. The outfielder had medical tests done over the weekend, but no structural damage was detected and an injury list stint wasn't expected. In a corresponding move, Myles Straw was selected from Triple-A Columbus.

Kwan (back) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan has now missed five starts in a row because of back discomfort. He doesn't have any structural damage and there's been no indication that it's more than a day-to-day injury, but clearly he's not feeling well enough yet to play. Angel Martinez will get another start in left field and will bat leadoff for the Guardians.

Kwan (back) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan will miss out on a fourth straight start due to lingering back soreness. He underwent tests which came back clean, and the Guardians are considering him day-to-day. Angel Martinez will receive another start in left field for Monday's series opener.

Kwan was out of the lineup for all three of the Guardians' games against Tampa Bay over the weekend due to back soreness, but medical tests revealed no structural damage and the outfielder is likely to avoid a stint on the injured list, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kwan played all nine innings of Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Rays in the series opener, then was scratched from the lineup Friday before sitting out Saturday and Sunday. The Guardians initially attributed Kwan being scratched Friday due to general body fatigue, but back soreness has since been identified as the cause of his absence. The team appears to be viewing Kwan as day-to-day heading into its four-game series with the Twins that begins Monday.
