Bolt will start in center field and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The switch-hitting Bolt will stick in the starting nine for the third time in four games since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Thursday. Even though he's gone hitless in his first seven at-bats since coming off the IL, Bolt looks as though he'll get a trial as the team's everyday center fielder after Cristian Pache was sent to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Bolt (hamstring/oblique) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt missed the start of the regular season due to his injuries, but he recently completed a 12-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas in which he slashed .395/.480/.651 with three homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs and a stolen base. The 28-year-old should have a chance to carve out playing time in center field after Cristian Pache was sent down Thursday.

Bolt (hamstring/oblique) has produced a .379/.438/.517 slash line with a double, a home run, seven RBI and six runs across 32 plate appearances over seven rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt has consistently punished both El Paso and Albuquerque pitching over that span, producing four multi-hit efforts along the way. The 28-year-old has played several games in the field without setback, so it's possible he's deemed ready for activation within the coming days after an extended absence.

Bolt (hamstring/oblique) started a rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Las Vegas and went 2-for-5 with an RBI and run while serving as the club's designated hitter in an 11-4 loss to El Paso.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt is with Las Vegas for the second time since he was initially placed on the injured list April 10, as he was pulled off his first rehab assignment due to a strained left hamstring. He appears to have fully recovered from the oblique strain that forced him to the IL in April, but he'll now have to prove the hamstring issue is behind him. The Athletics will likely want to see Bolt play the outfield on consecutive days at Triple-A before activating him.

Bolt (oblique) was transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Sunday due to a strained left hamstring.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt began a minor-league rehab assignment May 13 as he was working back from an oblique strain, but he suffered the hamstring injury during his third appearance with Triple-A Las Vegas. The 28-year-old is still eligible to return from the injured list in early June, but the new injury is likely to delay his return.

Bolt (oblique) went 2-for-2 with an RBI double, two walks and two runs in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Salt Lake on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt finally got on the field for some form of regular-season action Friday night, albeit at the highest level of the minors. The 28-year-old started in center field and hit leadoff, and his performance was particularly noteworthy considering how long it had been since he'd seen game action. Bolt is likely to participate in at least 3-4 more games with the Aviators before being deemed ready for activation.

Bolt (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt was part of the Athletics' Opening Day roster this year, but he didn't appear in any games prior to landing on the injured list with an oblique injury. While he had slow progress over the first few weeks of the season, his rehab assignment will likely represent the final step in his recovery process. Once the 28-year-old is deemed fully healthy, he'll be in the mix to provide outfield depth for the Athletics.

Bolt (oblique) won't be activated from the injured list anytime soon, Ethan Diamandas of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt was placed on the 10-day injured list last Sunday retroactive to April 7, but manager Mark Kotsay said his activation won't happen "anytime soon." The outfielder is receiving ongoing treatment on his oblique and continues be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, and he's expected to need a minor-league rehab assignment before an eventual activation.

Bolt was placed on the 10-day injured list with an oblique strain Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bolt made the major-league roster out of spring training as a depth outfielder. However, he failed to make an appearance through the first two games of the season and will now be sidelined for at least the next 10 days. Adam Kolarek was recalled to the majors in the corresponding move.

Bolt is hitting .200 (4-for-20) with one home run, three RBI, six RBI, a stolen base and four runs across 12 exhibitions this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old has gotten on base at a decent clip this spring thanks to a discerning eye at the plate, but he's otherwise been fairly quiet. Bolt presumably needed to make more of an impact with the bat to latch on to an Opening Day roster spot after hitting just .100 and .088 in his first two big-league stints in 2019 and 2021, and it appears he's likely to open the season in the minors.
