2019 Relief Pitchers - Early Fantasy Baseball Tiered Rankings rotoballer.com Mon 1/14/19 7:00 AM
A tough position to evaluate is that of relief pitchers, as a lot of success for closers comes from success from teams. There are also a lot of bullpens by committee these days, further stifling the value of closers. That being said, only four of the pitchers that ranked in the top-10 in saves in 2017 followed up in 2018. One of those pitchers had a huge jump in saves, but [...]

Blake Trenien Should Continue To Thrive rotoballer.com Fri 1/4/19 12:23 PM
Many should have known that Oakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen would be a breakout player this season. After a woeful start to the 2017 season with the Nationals (5.73 ERA in 37 2/3 innings), his season (career?) turned around when he was traded for Sean Doolittle. Treinen became the closer for Oakland after the trade, saving 13 games and posting a 2.13 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 38 innings.[...]
Sean Doolittle 2019 Outlook: Stud Southpaw Could Sit Atop RP Ranks ... rotoballer.com Tue 1/1/19 1:54 AM
Nationals relief pitcher Sean Doolittle offers true RP1 upside for fantasy owners, but you have to accept his injury-riddled floor. Doolittle has flashed elite stuff often -- his 2014 season with a 15.5% swinging-strike rate, 37.7% strikeout rate and lowly 0.73 WHIP was a dream -- but hasnt topped 52 innings since 14. That said, his skills blossomed in 2018s hitting environment. The southpaw posted career-best marks in ERA (1.60), [...]
Sean Doolittle Says Foot Injury Is Behind Him rotoballer.com Sun 12/2/18 1:06 PM
Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle (foot) is confident that his foot injury is behind him and has new inserts for his cleats. Doolittle missed most of the second half with a stress reaction in his foot, but he was lights-out when he was healthy. The left-hander posted a 1.60 ERA, 0.60 WHIP, 25 saves and 60 K's in 45 innings. He'll be a top-tier fantasy closer heading into the 2019 season.
