But during his four years with the club, he amassed 75 saves and served as the closer for the 2019 World championship team. Depending on where he signs, Doolittle may be back ...

Washington Nationals left-handed pitcher Sean Doolittle recorded just one out in relief Thursday against Atlanta before departing with what appeared to be a side/oblique ailment. Doolittle had notched holds in each of his last two appearances, not having allowed an earned run in any of his last six outings. Snakebitten by injuries in 2020, Doolittles ailments have paved the way for Daniel Hudson to take over closers duties. Even should his latest injury not prove to merit a stint on the ...

Washington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle (knee) has been activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Wednesdays contest. Doolittle opened the season as the clubs closer, but really struggled. With Daniel Hudson doing a fine job in the ninth inning, Doolittle will likely be eased back into action and could ultimately be more of a late-inning option versus a closer. The lefty allowed five runs in just three innings when he was active this year and could be avoided for now.

Sean Doolittle Not A Fantasy Option At This Stage rotoballer.com Sun 8/9/20 7:33 PM
Washington Nationals left-handed pitcher Sean Doolittle has been open about not yet having answers to correct what has gone wrong for him on the hill in 2020. With Daniel Hudson now entrenched as the teams closer moving forward, Doolittle -- who yielded two home runs Saturday to bring his ERA to 18.00 -- is no longer season-long fantasy relevant at this point. Things began to go sideways for the southpaw last year, amassing a 5.56 ERA in the second half, but his diminished role at this stage ...
