Fuld (back) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Fuld continues to sit out with the sore back that has limited him to just one at-bat since Aug. 23. It remains to be seen when he will be able to start next, but it's possible he could be limited to a bench role the rest of the way.

Fuld (back) remains out of the lineup Tuesday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Fuld has not logged an at-bat since August 25, but considering his status as a non-everyday player, it's difficult to deduce if he's still battling the back ailment or if the team is simply trying out other options. Continue to consider Fuld day-to-day until further notice.

Fuld will earn his fifth start in a row in Sunday's game against the Royals. Aside from Saturday, Fuld has been buried at the bottom of the order in each of those five games, illustrating the lack of impact the Athletics are expecting from him in the batter's box. With Billy Burns (hip) back in action Sunday, at-bats could start becoming harder to come by for Fuld.

Fuld (hand) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres. Fuld missed just one game due to a bruised hand, indicating that the injury is very minor. He has otherwise been getting semi-regular at-bats, with Tuesday marking his fifth start in the last seven games.

Fuld is out of the lineup Monday against the Padres due to a bruised hand, Joe Stiglich of CSN Bay Area reports. The Athletics could surely use Fuld's ranginess in the spacious Petco Park, but the outfielder will sit out Monday while he nurses a couple of bruised fingers after he took a pitch to the hand Sunday. Fuld indicated Monday that he was feeling better than he anticipated, so it doesn't sound like the injury is anything more than a day-to-day situation. Ben Zobrist will fill in for Fuld in left field Monday.

Fuld will play left field and bat ninth in the order Sunday against the Angels. It's the fourth start in five games for Fuld, who has leveraged the injuries of Coco Crisp and Ike Davis into more frequent at-bats. Even so, Fuld's lack of power and .205 batting average this season won't allow him to retain much fantasy value despite the uptick in starts.
