LaMarre was designated for assignment by the Angels on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old LaMarre failed to make the cut out of spring training and he's now lost his spot on the 40-man roster. A second-round pick back in 2010, he has hit .273/.340/.406 over parts of five seasons at Triple-A, while totaling 32 plate appearances in a few stints at the major-league level. LaMarre struck out 11 times in his first 48 plate appearances with Salt Lake to begin 2017.

LaMarre was optioned to minor league camp Friday, according to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old outfielder had a solid spring, slashing .280/.345/.400 with three steals in 28 plate appearances. The Angels currently have a core of veteran outfielders holding down the fort at the major league level, so LaMarre will head to Triple-A Salt Lake to begin the year.

LaMarre agreed to a one-year deal with the Angels on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
LaMarre spent the majority of the 2016 season with the Red Sox at Triple-A Pawtucket and made a brief six-game appearance with their big league club. The 28-year-old is a career .267/.344/.382 hitter and has displayed speed on the basepaths. He will provide additional depth in the Angels' outfield. Gregorio Petit was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.

LaMarre cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
No teams claimed LaMarre even though he has been impressive at the Triple-A level this season, hitting .313/.383/.475 with six home runs, 19 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 44 games. The former second-round pick will look to build upon that success as he returns to Triple-A for the time being.

LaMarre was designated for assignment Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Red Sox traded for veteran infielder Aaron Hill on Thursday, so they needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for him and LaMarre was an expendable piece. Since being recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on June 18, LaMarre got a total of five at-bats and hadn't gotten into a game since June 28. He'll now be subject to waivers and could return to the Red Sox organization if he goes unclaimed.

LaMarre was used as a pinch hitter Monday night, striking out in a loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
LaMarre was making his Boston debut in a pretty tense situation -- two outs, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth -- and fell behind early in the count before striking out to end the threat. With Brock Holt (concussion) having begun a rehab assignment Monday night, his return to the club could happen by the end of the week, which would spell the end for LaMarre's current stint in Boston.

LaMarre was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
To date, LaMarre has spent the duration of the year at Triple-A, where he's slashing a healthy .313/.383/.475 with an .858 OPS across 44 games. The outfielder will join the Red Sox to provide outfield depth after the team optioned Rusney Castillo back to Pawtucket on Friday night. LaMarre will assume the final vacant spot on Boston's 40-man roster.

LaMarre was 1-for-1 with a single after replacing Jackie Bradley against the Twins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
LaMarre has hit 6-for-25 through 19 spring training games, along with two home runs. The 27-year-old outfielder will be hard pressed to find a spot on the Red Sox opening day roster and is slotted behind Jackie Bradley and Rusney Castillo on the depth chart.

LaMarre signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox on Tuesday, Rob Bradford of WEEI reports.
EDGE Analysis
LaMarre was a second round draft pick in 2010, but failed to produce up to expectations during his tenure in the Reds organization. He slashed .257/.307/.400 with Triple-A Louisville last season, but couldn't translate it to the big leagues, as he went a dreadful 2-25 in his first major league stint. The 27-year-old will look to add organizational outfield depth for the Red Sox going forward.

LaMarre will not be tendered a contract by the Reds, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
With LaMarre underwhelming once again in 2015, batting .257/.307/.400 at Triple-A Louisville and going 2-for-25 with the big club, the Reds decided to cut ties with the 27-year-old. A second-round pick in 2010, he never slugged over .407 or hit above .282 at any stop in the minors.
