Dull failed to convert a save opportunity Tuesday night, as he gave up a go-ahead, three-run home run to Danny Espinosa.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan Madson pitched in the eighth inning once again against the heart of the Angels' order, while Dull was afforded an opportunity in the ninth. The frame started poorly for Dull, as he gave up back-to-back singles to Jefry Marte and Cameron Maybin before Espinosa went yard. Santiago Casilla got the save on Opening Day, but Madson's usage suggests he's atop the pecking order in the A's closer committee.

Dull, an effective relief option in 2016, struck out the only batter he faced in Monday's 3-1 Cactus League loss to the Indians to lower his spring ERA to 2.70.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old righty emerged in his first taste of big league action in 2016, racking up 15 holds and three saves over 70 relief appearances while generating a 2.42 ERA and stellar 0.87 WHIP. Dull generated an impressive 73:15 K:BB as well and has continued to be effective this spring, surrendering just an earned run on two hits and two walks over 3.1 innings across four appearances. He profiles as one of four projected right-handed bullpen options for manager Bob Melvin in 2017 and should be a candidate for double-digit holds if he remains healthy.

Dull allowed the losing run on two hits over one inning pitched during Monday's 1-0 loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Dull has now allowed four earned runs over his last eight innings pitched. However, he still ranks first on the team in ERA amongst players with more than one appearance, yet his 8.6 K:9 provides minimal fantasy impact.

Dull continued his excellent season with two scoreless innings Friday night to lower his ERA under 2.00.
EDGE Analysis
Dull has been particularly effective recently, allowing only two earned runs over his last 25 appearances while striking out a batter per inning. It is worth monitoring Dull closely over the next eight days as he could slide into some save opportunities if the A's move any late inning bullpen pieces at the trade deadline.

Dull notched his first save in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Astros, pitching a scoreless ninth and allowing only one hit while also recording a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
After doing a solid job in a non-closing relief over the course of the season, Dull came on to slam the door on the Astros on Saturday after Kendall Graveman got into some trouble to open the ninth. The 26-year-old reliever allowed a fielder's choice groundout to Jose Altuve that scored Jake Marisnick, and then saw Luis Valbuena plate Altuve with a single. However, he was able to get Marwin Gonzalez on a swinging strikeout to end the game, giving him his first save after having been credited with six holds this season.

Dull threw 1.1 perfect innings against the Twins on Monday and by stranding two runners in the seventh innings, set a Major League record with 36 consecutive runners at any point of a season since at least 1961 (as far as complete records go back), reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
EDGE Analysis
Dull has been exceptional for the A's all season long, sporting a 2.11 ERA with a sparkling 0.73 WHIP. The inherited runners streak has been especially huge for the A's as he has been able to escape unscathed from countless jams. Dull has an excellent K/B ratio, striking out batters at a 9.49 K/9 clip while only walking 1.69 batters per nine.

Dull has allowed one earned run across 8.2 innings of work for the month of June.
EDGE Analysis
After a shaky May that saw him give up six runs in 13.2 innings, Dull has seemingly recovered and brought his ERA down to 2.48 for the season. His .165 opponent batting average paired with a 5.6 percent walk rate gives Dull a WHIP of 0.83, which is the best among Oakland's relievers. Home runs remain an area of weakness, particularly against right-handed hitters, as four of his five home runs this season have come courtesy of righties.

Dull struck out all four batters he faced in 1.1 innings of work as Oakland defeated Tampa Bay 7-6 on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Dull bounced back nicely Sunday after giving up five runs in his previous four outings. The 26-year-old has transitioned smoothly to the majors as he's transferred a 1.02 WHIP through 209 innings in the minors to a 0.98 WHIP over 37.2 innings in the big leagues. If the young righty continues to post impressive peripherals and produce outings like Sunday's on a consistent basis, he has a bright future in Oakland's bullpen.

Dull was fantastic again on Friday night against the Royals, throwing a perfect 1.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Dull has now allowed no hits and no walks over his first seven outings of 2016, spanning 7.1 innings. With every perfect outing Dull compiles, he is pushing himself closer and closer to more high leverage innings in the A's bullpen.

Dull is having an excellent spring for the A's, not allowing a run while posting eight strikeouts over 7.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Dull got a taste of the majors in 2015, getting called up in September and throwing 17 innings with a 4.24 ERA and 16 strikeouts. Dull was nothing short of exceptional in his minor league innings in 2015, compiling a 0.74 ERA with 73 punch outs in 61 innings across Double-A and Triple-A. The A's will likely start the season with seven relievers and with five of those spots sewn up barring injury, Dull will likely be battling with fellow righty Fernando Rodriguez and swingman Felix Doubront for one of the final two slots.
