Stripling did not factor into the decision against Arizona on Tuesday, tossing 4.2 innings and giving up four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The outing was a mixed bag for Stripling, as he struck out seven batters and collected two hits of his own (including a run-scoring single) but also tied a season high by giving up four runs. He was pulled after 81 pitches as he continues to build stamina after spending most of May and June in a bullpen role. The 29-year-old owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB through 57.1 innings this season and should continue to be a part of the starting rotation with Rich Hill (forearm) out indefinitely.

Stripling is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stripling made his first start in two months last Tuesday and yielded two runs (one earned) across three innings. The 29-year-old figures to have a higher pitch count this time around but seems unlikely to be cleared so quickly for a full starter's workload. Stripling has a 3.08 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB over 52.2 innings this season and is expected to remain in the rotation for the foreseeable future with Rich Hill (forearm) facing an extended absence.

Stripling allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts across three innings against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first start since April 25, Stripling wasn't expected to last much longer than he did. Stripling is returning to the rotation because of the Rich Hill (forearm) injury, but he will likely need to build back up his arm strength before becoming useful in most fantasy leagues. Stripling is 3-2 with a 3.08 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52 strikeouts in 52.2 innings this season. His turn in the rotation will come up again at the Rockies on Sunday.

Stripling is expected to make an abbreviated start in his return to the rotation Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
No specific limitations are in place for Stripling, but since he hasn't started since April 25 nor exceeded two innings in any of his relief appearances since that time, his arm isn't properly conditioned to handle a normal starter's workload. After making a spot start last week, Julio Urias has been moved back to the bullpen and should be available to cover multiple innings behind Stripling in what could be a piggyback arrangement. Stripling should gradually raise his pitch count in his subsequent starts in place of Rich Hill (forearm), who is facing an extended absence.

Stripling will start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Stripling is set to enter the rotation in place of the injured Rich Hill, who is facing an extended absence due to a flexor tendon strain. The 29-year-old Stripling has performed well as a starter this season, compiling a 2.65 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 32:10 K:BB in 34 innings (six starts).

Stripling is expected to take Rich Hill's (forearm) spot in the starting rotation, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Julio Urias drew the start Thursday night against the Giants, but it appears as though Stripling is in line to take over with Hill likely facing a 3-to-4 week absence. "I think he's earned that opportunity," stated Andrew Friedman, the Dodgers' president of baseball operations. Assuming Stripling does move into the starting rotation, his next outing would line up for Tuesday in Arizona.

Stripling will be available out of the bullpen beginning either Sunday or Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stripling will transition back to a bullpen role with Rich Hill (knee) set to return Sunday. Stripling has posted a solid 2.65 ERA with a 32:10 K:BB over 34 innings so far in 2019.

Stripling didn't factor into the decision against the Cubs on Thursday, giving up five hits, striking out six and walking one before exiting after 4.2 innings in the Dodgers' 2-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was working on a shutout, but manager Dave Roberts opted to give him the hook after 4.2 innings and just 76 pitches, denying him a chance for the win. Stripling is sporting an excellent 2.65 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP and 32 strikeouts over 34 innings, but Roberts has said he'll move back to the bullpen when Rich Hill (knee) returns from the injured list.

Stripling will move back to the bullpen when Rich Hill (knee) and Hyun-jin Ryu (groin) are back from injury, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stripling is off to a good start as a starter with a 2.92 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP through 24.2 innings, but the return of Hill and Ryu will push him back to a relief role, manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Tuesday. The right-hander should still be in the mix for spot starts or a move back to the rotation in the event of another injury, but the move will diminish the value he was carrying as a member of the rotation whenever it takes place.

Stripling (1-1) got the win against the Brewers on Sunday, giving up just one earned run on four hits over eight strong innings, striking out three and walking one in the Dodgers' 7-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
It was the best outing of the season so far the right-hander, who was very efficient, needing just 88 pitches to make it through eight innings. The outing gives him excellent numbers through his first four starts, as Stripling now has a 2.92 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP and 18 strikeouts through 24.2 innings. He's scheduled to take the mound against the Brewers again for his next start on Friday.
