Dugger (0-3) took the loss Friday as the Marlins were downed 6-4 by the Nationals, giving up four runs on three hits and two walks over five innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Two of the three hits the right-hander surrendered left the yard, after Dugger hadn't served up a homer in any of his prior three outings. He's scheduled for one more trip to the mound in 2019, and he'll carry a 4.45 ERA and 22:15 K:BB through 32.1 innings into Wednesday's road start against the Mets.

Dugger didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Giants, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie traded goose eggs with Madison Bumgarner for six innings until the Marlins broke through for two runs in the top of the seventh, but Dugger put runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the frame before getting the hook and watching his win slip away when they both scored. The right-hander's given Miami three quality starts in his five trips to the mound this season, and he'll take a 3.95 ERA and 18:13 K:BB through 27.1 innings into his next outing Friday, at home against the Nationals.

Dugger (0-2) allowed two runs on four hits and four walks over three innings Monday, striking out three batters and taking the loss against Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Dugger allowed both runs in the first inning and threw just 37-of-77 pitches for strikes in the poor outing. The 24-year-old rookie is sporting an unsightly 15:11 K:BB and 4.29 ERA in his first 21 MLB innings. Still looking for his first career win, Dugger will take the mound Saturday in San Francisco.

Dugger didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Pirates, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The results weren't as impressive as in his last trip to the mound, but the rookie right-hander still recorded his second straight quality start and was headed for his first big-league win until Jose Urena blew the save in the ninth inning. Assuming he remains in the rotation, Dugger's next outing will come Monday, at home against the Brewers.

Dugger will start Wednesday against the Pirates in Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
With Jordan Yamamoto (forearm) still on the mend, Dugger will get a second turn through the rotation after dazzling in his return to the big leagues last week. Making just his second MLB start, Dugger limited the Reds to two unearned runs while striking out seven over seven frames. The right-hander will benefit from a fairly favorable matchup Wednesday, but his lack of track record in the majors and poor results with Triple-A New Orleans this season (7.59 ERA, 1.71 WHIP in 53.1 innings) make him somewhat of a risky streaming option.

Dugger did not factor into the decision during Thursday's win over the Reds, allowing two runs (both unearned) on three hits and a walk while striking out seven over seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up a two-run home run to Aristides Aquino in the first inning, the 24-year-old rookie shut down the Reds the rest of the way and left the game with a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately, Cincinnati tied it up in the eighth, preventing Dugger from earning a win despite a solid performance. The 24-year-old, making the second start of his young career, was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Wednesday in replacement of Jordan Yamamoto (forearm). With New Orleans, Dugger owned a dire 7.59 ERA across 10 starts (53.1 innings). He lines up to take the mound again Wednesday at Pittsburgh.

Dugger was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Wednesday, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports. He is scheduled to start Thursday against the Reds, per Fernandez.
EDGE Analysis
Dugger will replace Jordan Yamamoto -- who was sent to the injured list with a forearm strain -- on the roster and in the big-league rotation. Expectations should be tempered for the 24-year-old righty, as he allowed six runs across five innings in his lone major-league start this season and owns an unsightly 7.59 ERA across 10 starts (53.1 innings) with New Orleans.

The Marlins optioned Dugger to Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Dugger was called up from Triple-A to make his MLB debut Monday as the 26th man in the Marlins' doubleheader with the Mets. The right-hander drew the start for the first game of the twin bill and didn't make a case for sticking around with the big club on a more permanent basis. He worked five innings in the 6-2 loss, giving up six runs on five hits and four walks.

Dugger (0-1) allowed six runs on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts across five innings while taking a loss during his major-league debut in the first game of a doubleheader against the Mets on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old gave up a homer to the first major-league batter he faced, and the rest of his debut wasn't much better. He gave up another homer in the third and struggled with control throughout the night. Dugger was probably heading back to Triple-A after this outing regardless, and with the rough performance, it's all but assured he won't stay with the Marlins.

Dugger was called up as the 26th man for Monday's doubleheader against the Mets and will start the afternoon contest, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Dugger will serve as the 26th man seems to suggest he won't stick around on the big-league roster for long. His 9.34 ERA through 35.2 starts for Triple-A New Orleans perhaps suggests the same. The 24-year-old does project as a potential future back-end starter, with average control of a few decent but unexciting pitches and a pretty good slider, but there doesn't appear to be much reason to get excited at the moment.
