Twins manager Paul Molitor will continue to stick with the hot bat of Eddie Rosario in left field, after the 24-year-old turned in a four-hit effort Saturday. It will result in Grossman being squeezed out of the lineup for the first time in three games, but he still seems to have solidified himself as a regular option in the outfield or at DH. Grossman is holding down a .408 on-base percentage on the season, good for tops on the team among players with at least 100 plate appearances.

After a cold spell in June that saw him hit just .234 for the month, Grossman has found new life at the plate in July. Sunday's production marked his third multi-hit effort of the new month, and he's now slashing .379/.500/.379 over 29 at-bats.

Grossman in the midst of a five-game hitting streak, but he'll lose out on a start to the recently-recalled Eddie Rosario, who will be rewarded with another turn in the lineup after recording an RBI double Sunday against the Rangers. Because Rosario floundered earlier this season during his stint with the Twins, Grossman should have the upper hand over him for regular at-bats, so long as he maintains the impressive on-base skills he's shown to date.

The journeyman outfielder's average has dropped from .290 to .269 over the last 10 games, and he has six strikeouts in his last four games. Danny Santana will get the start in left field and hit seventh Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

The 26-year-old had been mired in a 1-for-17 slump over the prior five games, so Wednesday's production was certainly a welcome sight. Grossman has crashed back to earth overall during June, following a month of May where he generated a .361/.452/.694 line over 11 games. He's now seen a 96-point drop in average since June 2, but continues to hold down the top spot on the depth chart in left field for the time being.

Grossman hit his fifth home run as part of a 2-for-4 game with three runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over the Angels.

EDGE Analysis

Grossman has hits in all but three of his 11 starts in June and has yet to end a day with an OPS under 1.000. Perhaps most impressively, Grossman has 14 walks this month -- a pace of 192 per 162 games. It's hard to find a flaw in Grossman's game thus far with the Twins, but he has yet to face a team in multiple series thus far in 2016 and we'll have to see what happens when pitchers get a chance to adjust to this new Grossman.

Grossman has homers in consecutive games and three in the past 10 days as his hot streak to open his Twins career continues. He has just 15 at-bats and will be hard pressed to maintain his absurd power production -- 10 extra-base hits including four homers in just 17 games -- but he has an extremely encouraging 13:13 K:BB in those 17 games and is showing an approach that can sustain solid production going forward, even if his .339/.464/.679 batting line is destined to come back to earth somewhat.

Grossman went 1-for-3 with his third home run in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.

EDGE Analysis

Grossman continues to stay hot since he's joined the Twins and moved into the starting lineup. He has reached base via hit or walk in 15 of his 16 games this season. While Grossman's major league track record would seem to indicate he can't sustain his success with Minnesota, he has a good eye at the plate with a 12:12 K:BB ratio. His career best walk rate (18.8 percent) could foreshadow a significant improvement.
