Nolasco (4-12) gave up three runs on nine hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in Wednesday's 10-4 loss to Cleveland. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty alternated solid starts with brutal ones in July, leaving him with a 5.72 ERA on the month and 5.07 ERA on the year. Nolasco will look to break that pattern in his next start Tuesday at home against the Phillies.

Nolasco (4-11) lasted just four innings Friday night against the Red Sox. He served up six runs on nine hits while striking out just one hitter.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage occurred in the first inning, as the Red Sox batted eight men and tallied five runs in the frame. He settled down after that with a pair of one-two-three innings, but he ultimately was chased after giving up another run in the fourth. Nolasco's control was on point, as he didn't walk a single batter and 51 of his 77 pitches went for strikes, but his 5.13 ERA leaves much to be desired. He'll look to improve that figure in his next start Thursday in Cleveland.

Nolasco gave up just one run on two hits and two walks with six strikeouts over seven innings but was stuck with a no-decision Friday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Three of Nolasco's past four starts have been the best outings of his season to date, including Friday's. Naturally, the other one, last time out against Texas, saw him allow eight runs in just 1.2 innings. That's the kind of maddening inconsistency that has defined Nolasco's season -- and career -- thus far, and it's a big reason why fantasy owners should have a hard time trusting him despite some of the brilliance he's shown lately.

Nolasco (4-10) surrendered eight runs on seven hits and two walks over 1.2 innings in Friday's loss to the Rangers. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After tossing 15.1 scoreless innings over his previous two starts, Nolasco crashed back to earth with a thud and reminded everyone how risky a fantasy play he is. The volatile veteran will take a 5.06 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 into the second half.

Nolasco (4-9) was masterful in a complete-game shutout against the Mariners on Saturday, allowing just three hits and striking out seven without allowing a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco has completely turned it around over his past two starts, not allowing a run over his last 16.1 innings on the mound while racking up 13 strikeouts in that span. It's a far cry from some of his earlier performances, in which he posted seven consecutive losing decisions and saw his ERA balloon to 5.23 on the season. Saturday was his first complete game since August of 2016 and the right-hander has obvious fantasy potential if he can continue this current trend, though his 5.72 FIP suggests a possible regression.

Nolasco left Monday's game against the Angels after 6.1 scoreless innings after taking two line drives off the leg, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nolasco was utterly dealing and was in line for the win, but he did leave a pair of runners on base in the bottom of the seventh. It didn't seem as if either of the line drives were hit hard enough or in a sensitive enough location to injure Nolasco severely, and he looked fine as he walked off the field. This was likely a precautionary measure, and it's an unfortunate ending to one of his best starts this season. Consider Nolasco day-to-day until the club can evaluate him.

Nolasco (2-9) gave up five runs on seven hits and five walks over 5.1 innings while striking out five in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty hasn't won a game since April and has taken the loss in seven straight starts, putting up a 6.28 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over that stretch. Nolasco will try to pull out of his free fall in his next trip to the mound Monday on the road against the Dodgers.

Nolasco (2-8) took the loss Thursday after giving up five runs on 10 hits over six innings against the Royals, striking out four and walking two.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs surrendered to Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon sank Nolasco and the Angels. The right-hander was outdueled by Matt Strahm, who was making his fist major-league start. Nolasco has now lost six consecutive starts and has given up 22 earned runs over 33.1 innings in that span.

Nolasco (2-7) tossed seven innings of two-run ball but was stuck with the loss Saturday against the Astros. He gave up eight hits and zero walks while striking out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
The ultra quality start -- Nolasco's second start of the season with seven-plus innings and two runs or fewer allowed -- brought his ERA back below 5.00. He gave up a home run to Brian McCann and has now allowed 19 homers in 73 innings this season, most in the American League. He lines up for what seems like a favorable home start against the Royals his next time out, but Nolasco has been too inconsistent to trust in most mixed formats.

Nolasco (2-6) gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out seven over 5.2 innings in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran bounced back after a shaky outing last Monday, falling one out short of a quality start when he gave up his second home run of the game in the sixth inning. Nolasco has provided deep-league owners with usable strikeout totals (8.2 K/9) as a starter, but his inability to limit the long ball (2.5 HR/9) has resulted in a sub-par 5.05 ERA. Considering his next start comes on the road against the Astros -- who lead the majors in homers -- on Saturday, it would be best to avoid the 34-year-old at all costs.
