The Tigers promoted Olson from High-A West Michigan to Double-A Erie on Sunday.

The 22-year-old right-hander made a quick impression at West Michigan after he was acquired from the Brewers in the July 30 deal that sent Daniel Norris to Milwaukee. He struck out 14 over 11 scoreless frames in his first two starts with his organization and will be rewarded for his efforts with a move up a rung on the minor-league ladder.
