Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Alonso was responsible for all the offense the Mets mustered in Tuesday's loss with a two-run bomb in the eighth inning off Logan Webb, and now the slugging first baseman has 26 homers on the season. He endured an 0-for-21 slump earlier this month but he's bounced back with hits in five of his last six games, hitting .280 in a stretch in which he's also gone yard twice.

EDGE Analysis
Alonso broke out of an 0-for-21 funk in the first inning of the contest Tuesday, doubling to deep center before coming around to score on Dominic Smith's two-bagger. After the contest was suspended in the top of the second due to inclement weather, the two sides resumed the game Wednesday, and Alonso added two more hits to his ledger. Alonso will stick in the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader with Washington, batting second while manning first base.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
He was the only batter on either side to have any success on the night -- the rest of the Mets managed only four hits (all singles) combined, which was one more than the entire Toronto lineup. Alonso slugged 74 home runs over the course of three rounds at Coors Field on Monday en route to winning his second straight Home Run Derby.
EDGE Analysis
Alonso dispatched Kansas City's Salvador Perez and Washington's Juan Soto in the first two rounds before erupting for 23 home runs in the final round to defeat Baltimore's Trey Mancini and claim the silver trophy and a $1 million prize. The 23 home runs matched his final-round total from the 2019 Derby, when he took down Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero for his first Derby crown. Since the 2020 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alonso will have a chance to become the first hitter to win three straight Derbys if he should receive an invite to the All-Star festivities in 2022.
