Orlando Hudson is aiming to make a comeback in MLB. Hudson didn't play at all this past season, but he's headed to the Mexican Winter League in an effort to generate interest. He hit just .204/.261/.312 in his last taste of the majors in 2012 and will turn 36 next week. He'll almost certainly have to accept a minor league deal.

Orlando Hudson told ESPN Chicago that he has no current plans of retirement. Hudson won't be returning with the White Sox next season, but will look to continue his career with another organization. Entering his age 35 campaign, Hudson should be able to secure a minor league contract and compete for a roster spot in spring training.

Orlando Hudson belted a pinch-hit grand slam, accounting for all of the White Sox offense in Saturday's loss to the Rays. Hudson entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Paul Konerko in the eighth inning, and delivered the entirety of the White Sox offense in just one swing. He's been extremely ineffective for the majority of the season, hitting a paltry .198/.258/.312 with three homers and 27 RBI in 247 at-bats.

White Sox activated Orlando Hudson from the 15-day disabled list. Hudson missed just over the minimum with a minor, possibly phantom injury. He shouldn't be owned in all but the deepest of AL-only leagues.

Orlando Hudson (toe) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Monday night at Triple-A Charlotte. Hudson will likely spend this entire week on the farm before rejoining the White Sox when rosters expand on September 1. He's 20-for-110 (.182) so far for Chicago.

Orlando Hudson delivered a game-winning RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning, leading the White Sox to a come from behind 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Thursday. The O-Dog finished the night 2-for-4 with the clutch single off of Francisco Cordero in the ninth inning. Still, he has struggled mightily in his time with the White Sox, hitting just .187 (9-for-24) with five RBI and is in danger of losing playing time to Brent Morel once he returns from the DL. He shouldn't be owned in all but the deepest of AL-only leagues at this point.

Orlando Hudson will start at third base Wednesday against the Twins. Hudson signed a one-year deal with the White Sox on Tuesday and later played two innings at the hot corner. He has never started a game at third base in the big leagues, but he played 242 games there when he was a Blue Jays' farmhand. At age 34, he'll have to adapt to his new utility infielder role if he wants to continue his career.

White Sox signed INF Orlando Hudson to a one-year contract. We learned over the weekend that the White Sox were poised to sign Hudson, but the deal is finally official. The 34-year-old is expected to play third base with Brent Morel (back) sidelined and should also back up Gordon Beckham at second base. He was batting just .211/.260/.317 with five triples and 11 RBI prior to his release from the Padres last week, so we aren't expecting much, but he's worth adding in AL-only leagues.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Sunday that Orlando Hudson will play primarily at the hot corner. Hudson agreed to a deal with the White Sox on Saturday and is expected to join up with the team Tuesday. "(Third base is) probably more of where he would play with Gordon (Beckham) being at second," Ventura told reporters. "He might be able to fill in there later, give (Beckham) a day off here or there." Brent Morel is headed to the disabled list with a bulging disk in his back.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Orlando Hudson could join the team on Tuesday. Hudson still hasn't officially signed on with the Palehose, but Ventura has acknowledged the pending acquisition. O-Dog will back up Gordon Beckham at second base and could see some time at the hot corner if Brent Morel (back) requires a stint on the DL.
