Aoki is out of the lineup Wednesday against Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki is 6-for-42 in his last 11 games so a night off could serve him well to turn his slump around. Seth Smith, who is normally a DH/left fielder, will fill in for Aoki in left Wednesday night. The 34-year-old will likely return to the lineup Friday against Kansas City.

Aoki's two-run triple in the second inning was all the offense the Mariners needed to sneak past the Indians in Wednesday's 2-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki is off to a slow start in 2016, slashing just .228/.241/.333 through his first 57 at-bats. Despite his struggles, the outfielder has managed to score fantasy points in 12 of his 14 games. Now with his fourth team in as many years, Aoki is a solid contributor in many categories and is a good fill-in for daily leagues. However, there are better options out there for weekly formats.

Aoki is not in the lineup Wednesday due to some soreness after fouling a ball off his leg Tuesday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. However, manager Scott Servais said that Aoki could be available as a pinch-hitter late in Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki led off the first two games of the Mariners' series with the Rangers, but he'll get the day off Wednesday. The lineup will be shuffled around a bit for the Mariners' matchup against right-hander Colby Lewis, with Leonys taking Aoki's spot in left and leading off, along with a few other moves down the order. Aoki is believed to be fine after fouling a ball off his shin, so he could get an at-bat or two Wednesday despite being out of the starting lineup.

Aoki has a hit in each of his last four games in spring training with one double and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki will start in left field for the Mariners this year. His season last year was ruined by injuries. The Mariners hope that now healthy he can return to being the player who started .317/.383/.385 last season before injuries knocked him off stride.

Aoki agreed to a contract with the Mariners on Wednesday, CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki's deal is for one year and includes an option. He played in just 93 games last season with the Giants but posted a respectable .733 OPS -- his best mark since his first year with the Brewers in 2012. It's not immediately clear if he will be the Mariners' primary left fielder given the options on their roster, but he does figure to see ample action at the position.

Aoki is fully healthy following his concussion at the end of the season, but the Giants still declined his $5.5 million option for the 2016 season Wednesday, Andrew Baggarly of the Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki will receive a $700,000 buyout as a result of Wednesday's transaction, although his team affiliation is in limbo heading into the offseason. There's still a chance San Francisco will re-sign him to a restructured deal, but the veteran is free to take offers from other suitors as well.

Aoki (concussion) has been shut down for the Giants' remaining two games of the season, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants reached the decision after Aoki traveled to Pittsburgh recently to meet with his doctor, who advised the outfielder to take more time off to recover. He'll finish his season with a .287 average, five homers, 26 RBI, and 14 stolen bases over 355 at-bats.

Aoki, who is visiting a concussion specialist in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, may be able to pinch-hit in the final series of the season, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.
EDGE Analysis
He took swings off a tee Monday and an update on his status should come later this week. However, if he will only be able to get looks as a pinch-hitter in the final days of the season, his fantasy potential is extremely limited for the rest of 2015.

Manager Bruce Bochy stated that there is a chance that Aoki (concussion) does not play again in 2015, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki experienced a second wave of post-concussion symptoms from being hit in the head by a Jake Arrieta fastball a month ago. Originally, the team was hoping to get him back by the middle of September, but with the Dodgers pulling away in the division, there isn't cause for rushing Aoki back from a head injury. With the expanded 40-man rosters, the Giants do not necessarily need to place Aoki on the disabled list, but fantasy owners should treat him as if he was and look for other options if they were counting on his return.

Aoki will see a concussion specialist in Pittsburgh at some point over the next few days, Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki has suffered multiple issues related to concussions this season, and most recently was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome. Despite the new development, manager Bruce Bochy remains hopeful that Aoki will be able to return to the San Francisco outfield this season. Until he sees the specialist, however, Aoki will likely be without a clear timetable.
