Cameron (2-3) allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron allowed a run in each of the second and third innings, but he exited down 2-1 in the sixth. This is just the second time in eight outings he's given up multiple runs, though both of those instances have been in his last three starts. He wasn't going to be purely dominant forever, and there's little reason to be concerned about his performance, though the two strikeouts Saturday matched his season low. The 25-year-old has a 2.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB through 47.2 innings over eight starts. Cameron is tentatively projected for a tough home start versus the Dodgers in his next outing.

Cameron did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Athletics, yielding four hits and one walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie southpaw generated a solid 13 whiffs out of his 83 total pitches to secure his third performance of six or more strikeouts in seven career starts. Cameron should continue to stick in the Kansas City rotation while Cole Ragans (shoulder) remains out; however, the Royals may have trouble removing Cameron from the starter's role even when Ragans returns considering he's now pitched to a 1.91 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 32:17 K:BB through 42.1 innings. The 25-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start at San Diego next weekend.

Cameron (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron allowed just three runs over his first five starts this season, spanning 31.2 innings. However, the 25-year-old came down to earth Tuesday, yielding a three-run home run to Austin Wells and a two-run homer to Aaron Judge during the start. The only positive takeaway from the outing was Cameron's strikeout ability. He had topped three strikeouts just once before Tuesday's start. On the year, Cameron has posted a 2.17 ERA and a 25:11 K:BB over 37.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Rangers next time out.

Cameron is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Even though the Kansas City rotation is back to full strength after Cole Ragans returned from the injured list last week, Cameron will get another start while manager Matt Quatraro has seemingly opted to move forward with a six-man starting staff for at least one more turn. The 25-year-old southpaw has had an excellent start to his big-league career with an 0.85 ERA and 0.79 WHIP in 31.2 innings, though a weak 7.6 K-BB% suggests that some performance regression is likely headed his way.

Cameron allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three over six scoreless innings in a no-decision in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron has now rattled off five straight quality starts to begin his major-league career, and this was his second scoreless outing. He has yet to give up more than one run in any start, pitching to a 0.85 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB. That last ratio offers a reason for caution, as his walk rate in particular could cause problems later when his luck evens out. With Cole Ragans (groin) returning to action in the nightcap, it's unclear if Cameron will remain in the Royals' rotation heading into next week. Cameron's performance could give the team reason to roll a six-man rotation or bump the struggling Michael Lorenzen to the bullpen.

Cameron and the Royals won't play the Cardinals on Wednesday, as the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams will play each other twice Thursday to make up for Wednesday's contest, and Cameron will get the nod for Game 1 of the doubleheader, per Anne Rogers of MLB.com. The 25-year-old southpaw has been extremely effective through his first four MLB starts, logging a 1.05 ERA and 0.82 WHIP alongside a 16:8 K:BB across 25.2 innings.

Cameron (2-1) tallied the win Wednesday against the Reds after allowing one run on six hits and two walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
It was notably Cameron's fourth straight start to begin his major-league career where he fired at least six innings while yielding one run or fewer. Although the rookie left-hander conceded a season-worst six hits and fanned a season-low two, none of his six knocks went for extra bases. Cameron will take an outstanding 1.05 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 25.2 frames into his next scheduled outing against the Cardinals, who have an unimposing .690 OPS versus left-handed pitching in the month of May.

Cameron didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Twins after allowing one run on four hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron entered Friday with six punchouts on the season, so he more than doubled that total by fanning eight Friday. The rookie left-hander has been impressive in the major leagues so far, having fired at least six innings while giving up one run or fewer in each of his first three career starts. Cameron will tote a sparkling 0.93 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB through 19.1 innings into his next scheduled outing against the Reds, who have a .623 OPS versus left-handed pitching through their first 51 games.

Cameron (1-1) took the loss Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks over 6.1 innings against the Cardinals. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander was called up to start Saturday in place of Seth Lugo (finger), and the rookie limited St. Louis to a Jordan Walker solo homer, which was enough to saddle him with the loss as the Royals were shut out. It was initially expected to be a spot start for Cameron, but he now appears poised to receive at least a couple turns through the rotation with Lugo and Cole Ragans (groin) placed on the injured list Saturday. Cameron has pitched exactly 6.1 frames in each of his first two MLB starts and has given up just one run on three hits with a 6:5 K:BB.

The Royals recalled Cameron from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
This was an expected move with Seth Lugo (finger) set to miss his scheduled start. However, it now looks like Cameron may be making more than a spot start, as both Lugo and Cole Ragans (groin) were placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. If Cameron holds his own against the Cardinals on Saturday, he'd be the logical choice to continue filling one of the two rotation spots left vacant by Lugo and Ragans. As such, Cameron could be an intriguing fantasy pickup -- he pitched 6.1 scoreless, one-hit innings in his MLB debut against the Rays on April 30 and has impressed in Triple-A this season, posting a 3.31 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 38:13 K:BB over 32.2 frames.
