Goody appeared in a team-high 10 games this spring and posted an impressive 0.90 ERA and 0.70 WHIP while racking up an 11:3 K:BB. Despite the impressive Cactus League performance, the righty will need to prove he can get admirable results consistently before being trusted in the MLB bullpen. Goody has some big-league experience and will likely bounce between levels this season when the Tribe needs some bullpen help.

Goody has been one of the most impressive arms this spring among the team's large stable of young guns. The Tribe picked up the deceptive reliever from the Yankees, where he had a career 2.19 ERA in the minors. Goody has done all he can to prove his worthy of an Opening Day roster spot, and he'd be a strong relief option in most MLB bullpens. However, he's vying for a role in one of the best bullpens in the game, so he may be forced to open 2017 at Triple-A Columbus.

The 25-year-old appeared in 27 games for the Yankees last season (29 innings). He began the 2016 campaign well, but after an awful nine-game stretch in June (7.88 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and .371 BAA), Goody spent most of the second half in triple-A. The Indians' acquired him in late-December and he'll spend the spring competing for a middle-relief spot.

Goody was traded to the Indians for a player to be named later or cash considerations Tuesday.

The right-hander turned in a 1.93 ERA in 18 appearances with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with nearly nine strikeouts for every walk issued, but he's struggled against more patient hitters at the major league level. Goody misses plenty of bats with his fastball/slider combo but he will have a tough time separating from the middle innings without cutting down on the walks.
