Eovaldi's (calf) scheduled start Sunday was pushed back, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi reportedly felt better following a recent bullpen session, but he's still dealing with some calf discomfort and won't be ready to take the mound Sunday against the Nationals. Zack Godley will start in his place. It's unclear when Eovaldi could take the mound.

Eovaldi (calf) will start Sunday against the Nationals, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi's next turn had pushed back to Saturday because of cramping in his right calf, then Boston rejiggered its rotation following Thursday's postponement. The series against the Nationals lines up with Martin Perez throwing Friday, Chris Mazza on Saturday and Eovaldi in the series finale.

Eovaldi (calf) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi's scheduled start for Wednesday was pushed back due to cramping in his right calf, but he'll test things out by throwing Thursday. He'll be able to start Saturday's game against the Nationals if all goes well during his bullpen session. The right-hander has made six starts to begin the season, posting a 4.98 ERA and 33:6 K:BB over 34.1 innings.

Eovaldi's scheduled start was pushed back to Saturday due to a calf cramp, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi was expected to toe the rubber Wednesday against the Blue Jays, but he'll be unable to do so as he nurses a calf issue. Instead, Colten Brewer will start for the Red Sox. However, if he heals well, Eovaldi should be in line to start at home Saturday against the Nationals.

Eovaldi (2-2) earned the win against Baltimore on Thursday, hurling seven innings and allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi picked up his first win since Opening Day -- also against the Orioles -- with the dominant performance. The right-hander threw 64 of 97 pitches for strikes while walking less than two batters for the fifth time in six starts. His lone blemish was a solo home run served up to Pat Valaika in the seventh inning. Eovaldi will carry a 4.98 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 33:6 K:BB into his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday, on the road against the Blue Jays.

Eovaldi (1-2) took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday, completing 5.1 innings and allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi entered the contest with a 4.09 ERA and departed with the mark having swollen to 5.93. He was burned by three long balls in the contest, the last of which -- a three-run shot off the bat of Clint Frazier -- contributed to a four-run sixth inning that ultimately forced him from the game. The right-hander did induce 14 swinging strikes, but he managed to whiff only three batters -- a season low, and a dramatic dropoff from the 10 strikeouts he racked up in his previous outing. Eovaldi will attempt to regroup when he heads to Baltimore to take on the Orioles on Friday in his next scheduled start.

Eovaldi allowed three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out 10 across six innings Sunday against the Blue Jays. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi racked up strikeouts on the strength of 19 swinging strikes on 91 total pitches. He did allow two solo home runs -- one to Bo Bichette and the other to Cavan Biggio -- to account for the majority of the damage against him. Still it was a relatively strong outing for Eovaldi, who now has an impressive 24:3 K:BB to go along with a 4.09 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 22 innings. He's currently projected to make his next start Friday at the Yankees.

Eovaldi (1-1) allowed four earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi shut the Rays down through 3.2 innings, but allowed a walk, single, and double consecutively to account for two runs in the fourth frame. He then allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base in the fifth inning -- including a triple to Austin Meadows -- accounting for the final two runs he surrendered. More positively, Eovaldi did rack up strikeouts on the strength of 12 swinging strikes on 85 total pitches. Through three starts, Eovaldi has managed a 3.94 ERA with a 14:3 K:BB across 16 innings. He's scheduled to take the mound next Monday in a rematch against the Rays.

Eovladi picked up a no-decision Wednesday, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings in a 6-5 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi put the Red Sox in a position to halt their four-game losing skid against Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom. Eovaldi is bearing the mantle of Boston's No. 1 starter well through the first two starts, posting a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.

Eovaldi (1-0) earned the win during Friday's 13-2 victory over the Orioles. He tossed six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi wasn't dominant by any means, but he shut down the Orioles while posting a quality start without a lot of effort. His next start is scheduled for July 29 at the Mets, where he is expected to face Jacob deGrom in a tougher matchup.
