Moreland went 1-for-3 with his third home run of the season in Boston's 8-3 loss to Oakland on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland's been fighting it at the plate of late, enduring a 1-for-19 stretch before collecting three hits the last two games. He's the only Red Sox to play every game this season and is on pace for a career-high smashing 673 plate appearances. His previous high was 518. As it looks like Hanley Ramirez won't be available to play the field due to various arm and shoulder aches, the Red Sox might want to consider calling up Sam Travis from Triple-A Pawtucket to spell Moreland. Travis is starting to break out of an early-season swoon, hitting .368 with a 1.042 OPS since the start of May.

Moreland is back in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Brewers, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland was given his first day off of the season Wednesday in favor of Hanley Ramirez at first base, but was forced to re-enter the game after Ramirez was lifted due to back/shoulder spasms. He proceeded to collect a hit and a walk on the evening, scoring the run along the way. Moreland and his .826 OPS will continue to be a staple in the Boston lineup.

Moreland is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Brewers, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland has started 13 consecutive games. During that stretch he's scraped together a disappointing .200 batting average and .610 OPS. He'll get the night to rest while the Red Sox start Hanley Ramirez at first base.

Moreland is expected to get a day off Wednesday when Hanley Ramirez makes his season debut at first base against the Brewers in Milwaukee, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland has yet to get a break this season as a sore shoulder has limited Ramirez to designated hitter.

Moreland has played all but 3.2 innings this season, and manager John Farrell is looking to get him a day off, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland has been grinding through the workload but has been a pretty consistent hitter through the first 30 games. Boston has a day off Monday, which will help Moreland, but Farrell wants to get a different first baseman in the lineup soon. That means Hanley Ramirez, who has yet to play an inning in the field because of a sore right shoulder, or Josh Rutledge would spell Moreland. Rutledge has filled in at first base late in each of the last two games.

Moreland went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run against the Orioles on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Nobody in the majors has as many doubles as the 10 that Moreland has already hit. He only has a single homer and the counting stats are just alright so far, but Moreland is hitting .358 in the middle of a high-upside Boston lineup, which makes him an automatic start across a wide variety of fantasy formats.

Moreland went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Sunday's 7-5 comeback win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland's two-run single in the seventh inning put the Red Sox ahead for good in this matchup. After opening the year hitless in 12 at-bats, Moreland has since gone 16-for-33 to raise his average to .356. The lefty slugger has nine doubles and a home run and is gaining serious consideration as a fantasy option at first base for a powerful offensive team.

Moreland went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and two runs Saturday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland's first bomb of the season was one of only two runs the Red Sox posted in a narrow victory. After going 0-for-9 to start the season, he's now collected 14 hits over his last 33 at-bats to bring his average to .333. In addition, he's posted at least one extra-base hit in eight of his last nine games, and he's starting to earn trust as someone who should be carefully considered as a solid first base option in fantasy lineups.

Moreland went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Boston's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The double ran Moreland's streak to seven straight games with a two-base knock, a feat no other player in Red Sox history has accomplished. It should be noted that Boston's faced mostly right-handers with 29 of Moreland's 34 at-bats against them. The plan concocted when Moreland was acquired during the offseason was that he'd play first base against right-handers while Hanley Ramirez starts against lefties. That still could be the plan, but Moreland has earned a chance to play every day.

Moreland went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Boston's 2-1 loss to the Tigers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Moreland has been a doubles machine, stroking five over his last four games. He's 8-for-15 over those four games and is sure to be in the lineup Tuesday against Baltimore right-hander Dylan Bundy.
