A day after getting the series against the Red Sox started with a 4-for-4 night that included his 33rd home run of the season, Haniger was back at it with a second straight multi-hit effort. The veteran outfielder's bat caught fire three games into September and hasn't cooled off yet, and he now boasts a .348/.412/.609 slash line with four homers and 10 RBI across his last 11 contests.

Haniger's three-run shot in the seventh inning proved to be the go-ahead hit in Monday's victory. Since his last multi-hit game on Sep. 3, the 6-foot-2 outfielder was 7-for-33 in eight appearances but he's now gone deep in three straight games. Haniger improved his slash line to .256/.321/.481 with 33 home runs and 82 RBI this season.

Haniger hit a solo shot off Tyler Gilbert in the fourth inning to put the Mariners on the board. It was his second long ball in as many games. In addition, he didn't strike out at all Sunday, after doing so at least once in 20 of his previous 21 games. Haniger gave Seattle an early 2-1 lead with his two-run shot to left off Diamondbacks starter Humberto Castellanos but wasn't productive in his other three at-bats. EDGE Analysis
While he didn't record one of the Mariners' four extra-base hits on the afternoon, Haniger did serve as a thorn in the side of Diamondbacks pitching throughout the contest with his constant presence on the basepaths. Save for back-to-back 0-for-4 performances Aug. 30 and 31 against the Astros, Haniger has been generating some fantasy-friendly lines of late, still posting a .294/.442/.412 slash line with a double, a home run, three RBI, eight walks and eight runs over his last nine games when factoring in that pair of hitless efforts.

Both of the hits were singles, but Haniger did a fine job setting the table for teammates Friday. The veteran outfielder's productive night was a sight for sore eyes, as he'd been mired in a 2-for-23 (.087) slump over the previous six games, although he'd managed to belt a pair of home runs in the sample.
