Milton Bradley is denying charges that he threatened to kill his wife with a gun late last month. Monique Bradley filed for a restraining order soon after the incident, and now Milton is trying to have it dismissed. The former major league outfielder told a Los Angeles Court Tuesday that his wife has a "habit of making false charges," citing other claims of arguments that turned violent. Bradley was released by the Mariners in May and is unlikely to return to Major League Baseball.

Court documents obtained by TMZ.com allege that Milton Bradley threatened to kill his wife last month. Bradley's wife, Monique Bradley, alleges that her husband threatened her with a baseball bat during an incident on September 27 and picked up a photo of a gun and told her, "This is the gun that I'm going to kill you with." She added that Bradley has been "emotionally and physically abusive" throughout their marriage, but she would often take him back because "I genuinely believed that one day I could fix him." A hearing on the matter is scheduled for October 25, and, in the meantime, Monique has filed a restraining order.
