Yastrzemski does not sit much, but he will get a day off after starting 13 straight games. Some extra time could help, as Yastrzemski went just 8-for-60 (.133) over his last 16 games.

Yastrzemski went 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Yastrzemski has gone consecutive games without a hit for the first time since June 18-20, but he's drawn three walks to keep his on-base skills intact. The outfielder also picked up his first steal of the year this season -- he was caught in his only previous attempt on Opening Day. The 31-year-old has a .238/.342/.414 slash line with eight home runs, 31 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 doubles through 67 contests. Yastrzemski has seen a near-everyday role in the outfield lately, and it doesn't appear he's at risk of losing playing time since LaMonte Wade returned earlier in the week.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 10-3 loss to the Reds on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Yastrzemski's fourth inning blast off Tyler Mahle gives him eight home runs on the season to go along with 28 RBI and a .781 OPS. The veteran left-handed bat had been ice cold with a .159/.247/.341 slash line in June. Giants manager Gabe Kapler continues to slot him into the two-hole.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Yastrzemski has a pair of extra-base hits (one homer, one double) in his last two games after snapping an 0-for-9 skid. The outfielder is slashing .256/.363/.446 with seven home runs, 26 RBI, 34 runs scored and 16 doubles in 59 contests overall. With Luis Gonzalez (back) landing on the injured list, Yastrzemski may be in line for an uptick in playing time against southpaws in addition to his starting role versus right-handers.

Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Entering Sunday, Yastrzemski was 0-for-10 with five strikeouts across his last three games. It didn't take long for him to snap the slump, as he homered in the first inning for what was the final run of the contest. He also snapped a seven-game RBI drought Sunday. For the season, he's posted a .275/.377/.467 slash line with six home runs, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored and 14 doubles while going 0-for-1 in stolen base attempts through 50 games.

Yastrzemski went 3-for-4 with a double in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Yastrsemki was the only Giant to record multiple hits in the contest. Prior to Wednesday, he was mired in an 0-for-11 skid with two walks and five strikeouts, so it was encouraging to see him snap the slump. The outfielder has posted a solid .288/.395/.471 slash line with five home runs, 21 RBI, 29 runs scored and 13 doubles, though he was also caught stealing on his only attempt through 46 games this year.
