Mike Trout Goes Hitless for Third Straight Game rotoballer.com Sat 4/7/18 8:46 PM
For the third night in a row, Angels outfielder Mike Trout was held without a hit as he finished 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the loss Saturday. Trout is now 1-for-18 with a home run over his last five games as his average has dropped to .184 to start the year. What does this mean for the 26-year-old superstar? Nothing. Trout is Trout and in Trout we trust. Opposing pitchers beware this week as owners should expect Trout to snap out of this funk in a big way.
Mike Trout Goes 0-For-6 in Debut rotoballer.com Fri 3/30/18 8:08 AM
Los Angeles Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout did something he'd never done in a major league game on Opening Day -- he did not record a hit in six at-bats. While the 0-for-6 start is certainly disappointing, it obviously does not represent any real cause for concern for the superstar. Hitting second between second baseman Ian Kinsler and outfielder Justin Upton should help Trout post another elite fantasy season. Owners will just have to look past the auspicious start.
Mike Trout to Bat Second rotoballer.com Thu 3/29/18 11:04 AM
Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout is slated to hit second this year. It looks like second baseman Ian Kinsler will be the regular leadoff hitter, although third baseman Zack Cozart will man the one-hole on Opening Day with Kinsler out. Kinsler and outfielder Justin Upton will provide very sound protection for Trout, who is in line for another monstrous season. Play him with confidence and enjoy the benefits for those who own him.
Mike Trout to Wear Face Guard rotoballer.com Mon 3/12/18 11:47 AM
Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout, who was hit in the helmet by a pitch on Sunday, is planning to wear a face guard with his helmet going forward. "I was thinking about it before, but that sealed the deal," he said. This doesn't project to have any impact on his fantasy value, other than fans having to get used to seeing a guard on his helmet during highlight reel home runs. Draft Trout first in all fantasy formats, as usual.
