Mike Moustakas May Not Be Traded Per GM rotoballer.com Thu 6/14/18 7:24 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is a very likely trade target over the next six weeks since the Royals are one of the worst teams in the league, but general manager Dayton Moore told Rustin Dodd of The Athletic that he won't be traded "just to do a deal." This attitude is likely just Moore's attempt to keep some leverage in negotiations since trading Moose is the obvious move for the last-place Royals, but Moore has never been one to take advantage of the obvious moves, so perha[...]
Mike Moustakas Hits 13th Home Run rotoballer.com Sat 6/9/18 8:20 AM
The Kansas City Royals have been the second worst team in baseball so far, but third baseman Mike Moustakas is still producing for fantasy owners out there. Moose went yard on Friday for his 13th home run and 41st and 42nd RBI. Hitting .271 so far, he should top 30 homers and 90 RBI for the second straight season, and that's a worthy performer at third base in almost any league.
Mike Moustakas Sitting, Ramon Torres And Drew Butera Start Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 5/27/18 8:05 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas will get a day off on Sunday. Moustakas has been struggling in the last couple of weeks. Since he had a two home run outing on May 8th, he has a .226 batting average with one home run in 73 plate appearances. The Royals will be hoping a day off allows Moustakas to snap the relative cold streak he has been on recently. Neither catcher Drew Butera nor infielder Ramon Torres figure to make much impact for DFS Sunday. Butera, who is hitting ninth, has [...]
Mike Moustakas Hits First Homer In Weeks rotoballer.com Sat 5/26/18 9:14 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is still the best hitter on the team, but he's been in a bit of a power slump recently. He broke out of it with a homer on Friday in Texas. It was his first home run since May 8, and he's only had four extra-base hits over that period of 16 games. The mini-slump has brought Moose's batting average down to .281, but with 11 homers on the season, he's still on pace to exceed 30 home runs for the second straight season.
Mike Moustakas Blasts Two Home Runs rotoballer.com Wed 5/9/18 11:54 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas preyed on a struggling Baltimore Orioles team on Tuesday, smashing a pair of home runs off some of the worst pitching he's seen this year. Moustakas was part of a 10-run first inning that included chasing starting pitcher Dylan Bundy from the game before he had recorded a single out. He then smacked a two-run shot in the fifth inning to continue the rout. Moustakas is now at 10 home runs for the season and he's well on his way to being a third base[...]
Mike Moustakas Hits Two Home Runs Tuesday rotoballer.com Wed 5/9/18 1:37 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas had a great day Tuesday. Moustakas went 3-for-6 with two home runs and three RBI. Moustakas now has 10 home runs in 150 plate appearances this season, and is on pace to match last season. Perhaps more impressively, Moustakas is hitting .300 in 2018, a career high. Previously in his major league career, Moustakas has bounced anywhere between .212 and .284. In addition, his current average is not based an unsustainable BABIP. Therefore, I expect Mous[...]

Mike Moustakas Leaves Game on Monday after HBP rotoballer.com Mon 4/30/18 4:10 PM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas was forced from the game on Monday after being hit in the forearm with a pitch. However, his x-rays came back negative and he is considered day-to-day. Even if he is forced to miss a game Moustakas' injury is minor and he should be back in the coming days. Moose has been one of the few offensive contributors on the Royals this season, hitting .302 with eight home runs and 19 RBI. He needs to be started whenever he's in the lineup.
Mike Moustakas' Hitting Streak Ends At 14 rotoballer.com Wed 4/25/18 8:58 AM
Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas finally got saddled with a hitless showing on Tuesday night. This brought his 14-game hitting streak to a close, and he'll just have to go back to being the best player on the team without a hit streak. Moustakas has been one of the only bright parts of a team that is otherwise pretty terrible. After the debacle that was his free-agent negotiation last winter, expect Moustakas to still put up solid numbers this season in hopes of landing one big pa[...]
