Mike Leake Will Try And Solve Angels rotoballer.com Thu 9/13/18 3:06 PM

Seattle Mariners starter Mike Leake finally picked up his first win since June 23 in his last start and will now take on the Angels in Anaheim Thursday night. The Angels have had Leake's number this season and the veteran is 1-3 with a 5.59 ERA through four starts against Anaheim. After a positive start to the season, Leake is 1-5 over his last 11 starts since July 1 but has an 3.83 ERA over his last eight starts. Leake is a solid veteran that will eat up innings but doesn't overpower the oppos[...]

Mike Leake Earns First Win Since June 23 rotoballer.com Thu 9/6/18 11:08 AM

Seattle Mariners starter Mike Leake picked up his first win since June 23, tossing six innings while allowing two unearned runs to beat the Orioles 5-2. Leake (9-9) had been 0-5 over his last 12 starts but the quality outing put him in the win column and lowered his ERA to 4.11. It has been a solid, if unspectacular, season for the veteran right-hander and will get close to completing 200 innings in 2018. Seattle's playoff hopes have grown dim over the past few weeks but expect Leake to take t[...]

Mike Leake Has Not Won Since June 23 rotoballer.com Fri 8/31/18 11:50 AM

Seattle Mariners starter Mike Leake will take the ball Friday night against the A's in Oakland. Leake (8-8) has been a solid innings-eater this season but has not picked up a win since June 23. He is posting a 3.46 ERA since the All-Star break but wins have been elusive. He is allowing opponents to hit .301 against him in night games and Leake will have to be especially careful with A's catcher Jonathan Lucroy. The veteran catcher has owned Leake throughout his career and is 20-for-40 (.500) a[...]

Mike Leake Loses Again rotoballer.com Sun 8/26/18 4:09 PM

Seattle Mariners starter Mike Leake allowed five runs on seven hits in six innings as the Mariners lost to the Diamondbacks 5-2. Leake (8-8) will have to wait until his next turn in the rotation to pick up his first win since June 23 and is 0-4 over his last 10 starts. The right-hander has pitched better in the month of August, posting a 3.38 ERA with a 1.05 [...]

Week 22 Waiver Wire: H2H Category Streamers rotoballer.com Fri 8/24/18 3:00 AM

I like to consider myself a pioneer of the streaming approach. I won a league about seven years ago by completely ignoring saves and just stacking up the starts each week. While streaming is undoubtedly more directly associated with pitching, there's plenty of value in streaming for offense as well. Maybe you have a stacked roster and you can't drop anyone. But for those of us with a couple of guys on the roster fringes, it's never too early to look into targeting a specific player or two to [...]

Mike Leake Scratched on Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/21/18 4:27 PM

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Mike Leake (illness) has been scratched from Tuesday's start against the Houston Astros. Righty Nick Vincent will draw the start, but is only expected to go a few innings. This is likely going to be a bullpen day for the Mariners. Leake should be fine and is not expected to land on the disabled list.
