Mike Leake Could Break Out of Slump Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/27/19 4:16 PM

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Mike Leake will look to string together a quality start on Tuesday on the road against the San Francisco Giants. Leake has been a disaster with the D-backs thus far, going 0-2 with an 8.02 ERA in four starts. However, things could not be more favorable for the righty on Tuesday, as he will be facing a light-hitting offense in one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in all of baseball. As long as Leake can keep the ball on the ground, he should be a viable ...

Mike Leake Struggles Against Giants Friday rotoballer.com Sat 8/17/19 10:27 AM

Arizona Diamondbacks starter Mike Leake struggled in his third outing since being traded to the desert, allowing four runs over six innings with three strikeouts on Friday night. Leake had been fairly effective in his last 10 starts with Seattle, posting a 3.78 ERA with 49 strikeouts in that span. Since joining Arizona though, Leake has a 7.71 ERA with eight strikeouts in three starts. Until he shows signs of improvement, owners shouldn't look to Leake for any value unless he has a very ...

The trade deadline has come and gone, and while there weren't as many big name starting pitchers on the move this year outside of Zack Greinke, not one but two of the pitchers from last week's column found new homes. So apologies to those of you who grabbed Tanner Roark and Mike Leake for Week 17.Speaking of [...]

The Seattle Mariners are telling interested teams that they will eat a large portion of starting pitcher Mike Leake's remaining salary to facilitate a trade. Leake is earning $16 million this year and is scheduled to make $15 million in 2020. He has an $18 million option ($5 million buyout) in 2021. The Cut List (Week 13) - Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 6/23/19 7:00 AM

At this point in the season, nearly half over, you should pretty much know what you have on your fantasy team. (Unless you have Jose Ramirez.) Chances are, if you still have a certain frustrating player on your roster -- especially one you drafted -- you've had plenty of chances to remove them but have decided to stay the course each time. (For instance, Jose Ramirez.) A lot of cuts should be just the usual roster churn at this point, for example moving from one streamer SP to the next. (For ins[...]

Two-Start Pitcher Streamers: Week 13 rotoballer.com Fri 6/21/19 11:00 AM

This is an interesting week for two-start streamers. In previous weeks there have tended to be a bunch of serviceable to decent options somewhere in the five to 10 percent ownership range, but this week that's really not the case. But never fear, we've still got five streamers to take a look at for Week 13.Looking back at [...]
