Mike Cameron is considering retiring after the 2011 season. Cameron is struggling with injury and a poor 2011 season so he might just be frustrated with his current situation. However Cameron has not shown the same pop or glove work that made him a successful center fielder. The 37-year old veteran will have played 17 major league seasons and collected three gold gloves if he calls it quits after the 2011 season.

Mike Cameron (hamstring) is not sure when he'll be ready to return to the lineup. Cameron has been out since Tuesday with a tight right hamstring. The Marlins are calling him day-to-day, though it sounds like it might be a while longer before he's ready to play.

Mike Cameron left Tuesday's game against the Mets in the 11th inning with a tight right hamstring. Cameron, who tied the game with a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth, apparently suffered the injury after reaching on a walk in the 11th inning. Bryan Petersen moved over to replace him in center field to begin the 12th while Vinny Rottino entered the game to play right. Cameron is considered day-to-day.

Mike Cameron has been scratched from the Marlins' Friday evening lineup. Bryan Petersen will start in his place. The Marlins have yet to provide an explanation for the lineup change, but it's a good bet Cameron's sprained left hand is still giving him fits. Cameron is batting just .208/.330/.377 since arriving in South Florida on July 5.

Mike Cameron left Florida's Friday evening game against the Cardinals in the sixth inning with a wrist injury. Cameron rolled over on his wrist in the outfield, but stayed in the game for several innings before departing. Although he's unlikely to be in the lineup on Saturday, it's doubtful the injury is all that serious if he was able to play through it. His status should be updated later this evening.
