Ynoa (hip) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has a 4.35 ERA in 16 appearances this season but at least has 19 strikeouts over 20.2 innings. Ynoa should go back to working in middle relief.

Ynoa was placed on the 10-day DL with a right hip flexor strain on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Injuries continue to mount for the White Sox's pitching staff, as there are now seven MLB pitchers on the disabled list. Righty Brad Goldberg was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte as a corresponding move.

Ynoa left Friday's game with right quad soreness and will be re-evaluated Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa faced just two Detroit hitters during his relief appearance before exiting with the team trainer and it appears he's dealing with some soreness in his pivot leg. Consider the young pitcher day-to-day until further evaluation yields a firmer consensus.

Ynoa left Friday's game against the Tigers with an undisclosed injury after facing two hitters, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander came on in relief during the third inning and quickly allowed hits to both Jose Iglesias and Dixon Machado before exiting with the team's trainer. The team will likely update his status once more information becomes available. Ynoa, who was replaced by Gregory Infante, has a 3.92 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP over 20.2 innings out of the bullpen this season.

Ynoa (1-0) struck out two batters in a scoreless inning and was credited with the win in Sunday's 9-3 victory over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa came on in the eighth inning with the White Sox down, 3-1, and the offense doing little in the first seven innings. But they busted out for eight runs in the eighth to make a winner of Ynoa for the first time this season. After a rocky start to the season, Ynoa has not allowed a run in his last seven innings.

Ynoa didn't allow a run but walked two and hit a batter over 1.1 innings in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa is the White Sox's designated long man and they haven't needed his services lately while the team ripped off a six-game winning streak. With just 57 percent of his pitches finishing in the zone, both the White Sox and fantasy owners should avoid Ynoa if at all possible. He's allowed five runs (four earned) on eights hits, including three home runs, and seven walks over 10.2 innings spanning seven appearances.

Ynoa earned a bullpen spot on the White Sox's Opening Day roster, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anthony Swarzak, Dylan Covey, and Ynoa were the final three pitchers added to the Opening Day roster Saturday, but Swarzak and Covey are also candidates to temporarily fill a spot in the rotation with Carlos Rodon nursing a biceps injury. Ynoa has a solid fastball that sits in the mid-90s and he was impressive in his stint with the White Sox last season, notching a 3.00 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 30.0 innings.

Ynoa appears to have won an Opening Day roster spot after the White Sox optioned Zack Burdi to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa had a rough spring, surrendering nine earned runs in 15.2 innings, but his solid showing last season with the White Sox probably convinced the team to keep him around. The 25-year-old offers some intriguing strikeout potential thanks to his mid-90s fastball, but he'll have to do a better job with his control and command in order to work his way into a high-leverage role out of the bullpen.

Ynoa allowed two runs on two hits over 1.1 innings in Saturday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa entered camp looking for a middle-relief spot, but has not fared well this spring. The right-hander has allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks over 10.2 innings. While command in the form of walks have been his bane, this spring it's been command in the form of location doing him in. Ynoa has given up three home runs this spring. The fact that he was pitching in the seventh and eighth inning of a spring-training game, facing the Dodgers' minor leaguers, is all the evidence we need to see that Ynoa will open the year a Triple-A Charlotte.

Ynoa finished up the Dominican Winter League with a 1.54 ERA in 11.2 innings over 13 games for Aguilas Cibaenas. He struck out eight, walked seven and allowed seven hits.
EDGE Analysis
Ynoa had his first taste of the majors last season and after a middling first two months, he locked down in September, allowing just one run on three hits and three walks while striking out 12 over his final 11.1 innings. The major difference between his summer results and September was command. When he struggled, the right-handed Ynoa walked 14 batters in 18.2 innings. Fortunately, Ynoa was pitching in the low-stress environment of a non-playoff contender and was able to work through his issues. Judging from is winter-ball results, command may be an on-going issue for 6-foot-7 Ynoa, who will be competing for a spot in the bullpen during spring training.
