Reed was optioned to minor-league camp Wednesday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reed had brief big-league stints with the Brewers the last two seasons, but the team has greatly improved its outfield depth at the upper levels of late, so not only will Reed's season not begin with the big club, it will not even start with Triple-A Colorado Springs. Reed will head to Double-A Biloxi, where he at least figures to play every day.

Reed was recalled from Triple-A on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Reed is yet to appear in a major league game this season, as he spent all of 2016 at the Triple-A level, hitting .248 with eight home runs and 45 RBI across 121 games. The 23-year-old outfielder will simply add depth over the final weeks of the season.

Reed (concussion) returned to action Thursday and went 0-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in a game with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
EDGE Analysis
Reed missed over a week of games due to his concussion, but he is good to go moving forward. He has cooled off considerably after a fast start to the season, but figures to have a chance to join the big league club at some point before this season concludes.

Reed was placed on the minor league disabled list Thursday with concussion symptoms, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reed is being evaluated for a concussion after crashing into the outfield wall in a game with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday. Reed got off to a fast start this year, but he has struggled in May, going just 4-for-28 (.143) with an RBI.

Reed, who owns a .296/.424/.333 slash line this season with Triple-A Colorado Springs, is starting to see more time in center field.
EDGE Analysis
Reed has played primarily left and right field the last couple seasons, but with those spots filled in Milwaukee, the Brewers are evaluating him as a potential option in center field. The Brewers are 29th out of 30 teams with a .468 OPS from the center field position this season, so if Reed proves capable of handling the job, he could find himself in Milwaukee sooner than later.

Reed is 9-for-23 (.391) with a double, three RBI, and three stolen bases through six games with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
EDGE Analysis
Reed posted an average .732 OPS in 38 games with Colorado Springs last season, but he has shown improvement early on in 2016, owning a .896 OPS six games into this season. Reed has played in just 44 Triple-A games in his minor league career, but he saw a cup of coffee with the big league club last September, and he could return to the majors at some point this season.

The Brewers optioned Reed to minor-league camp Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Reed saw frequent at-bats for the Brewers over the first few weeks of camp, but he was not going to open the regular season with a starting job, so the team decided to send him out so it could evaluate other players. Expect Reed to play every day for Triple-A Colorado Springs to begin the season.

Reed is 3-for-17 (.176) with a home run, three RBI, and a 1:8 BB:K ratio through 10 spring games.
EDGE Analysis
Only three Brewers have received more at-bats than Reed through this point of the spring, which shows the team is willing to let him get his feet wet at the top level and compete for a reserve outfield job. However, Reed has not had much success with the bat -- and more importantly, has option years remaining, which many of his fellow competitors do not. That fact alone makes it likely his season will begin with Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Reed went 11-for-30 (.367) with two home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored, and four stolen bases over his last 10 games with Double-A Biloxi. Reed has been hot lately, and he is having a fine offensive season overall, posting a .319/.407/.466 slash line and 18:28 BB:K ratio in 38 games. He has also been successful on 12 of his 14 stolen base attempts. He is doing nothing but helping his prospect status in his first extended go-around at the Double-A level.

Reed owns a .400/.533/.600 slash line to go along with a home run and five RBI through nine games with Double-A Biloxi. Reed is doing an excellent job getting on base early this season, reaching eight times via the hit and seven times via the walk while totaling just 20 at-bats. Reed is not a heralded prospect, but he posted a .785 Low-A OPS and a .768 High-A OPS at his previous two stops, and is finding Double-A pitching even more to his liking.
