Brantley isn't starting Thursday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley's six-game hitting streak came to an end Wednesday when he went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in a win over Seattle. Aledmys Diaz will take over in left field and bat fifth.

Brantley went 3-for-3 with a walk, three doubles and four runs scored in Saturday's 16-2 rout of the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The two-baggers came off three different pitchers, as Brantley and the Astros offense made quick work of whoever was on the mound for the Angels. Remarkably, it's already the second time this season the veteran outfielder has rapped three doubles in a game. Brantley has five multi-hit performances in the past nine games, boosting his slash line on the season to .338/.377/.600 with 12 of his 22 hits going for extra bases (nine doubles, a triple and two homers).

Brantley went 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Houston managed only five hits in the contest, and Brantley was responsible for three of them. He picked up his third three-hit game of the campaign while taking his first walk since Opening Day. Brantley has been solid contributor near the top of the lineup this season, slashing .327/.365/.592 across 52 plate appearances.

Brantley went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley scored the game's lone run in the fourth inning, coming in on a single by Taylor Jones. He's been dropped from second to third in the batting order since Houston placed several regulars, including Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez, on the COVID-19 protocols list. With much of the team's offensive firepower unavailable, Brantley's bat is needed more than ever.

Brantley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley, who launched his second homer of the season in the eighth inning, was one of the few offensive bright spots for the Astros, who were shut down for seven innings by promising young starter Casey Mize. Brantley has gone 3-for-17 in the four games since returning from a wrist injury.

Brantley went 1-for-4 in Thursday's 6-2 win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
This was Brantley's first appearance since last Saturday when he was hit by a pitch on the wrist. He was back in a familiar spot, batting second between Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman.

Brantley (wrist) is starting Thursday's game against Oakland, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley sat out the last three games after he was hit by a pitch Saturday, but he'll play left field and bat second for Thursday's series opener against the Athletics. The veteran went 6-for-9 with a home run, four doubles, two RBI and five runs in the first three games of the year.

Brantley (wrist) will remain on the bench Tuesday against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley was hit by a pitch Saturday against Oakland and has yet to return to the field. Previous reports indicated that the Astros were hopeful he could return Tuesday, but the chances of that decreased after he was unable to take batting practice Monday. Brantley still appears in good shape to avoid a trip to the injured list, as manager Dusty Baker said that the veteran may be available off the bench to pinch run and play defense, according to Rome. With an off day coming Wednesday, Brantley will turn his focus to rejoining the lineup Thursday against Oakland.

Brantley (wrist) did not take batting practice Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brantley reportedly improved Monday after a taking a pitch off his right wrist during Saturday's game in Oakland, but he still wasn't well enough to take BP. The Astros are holding out hope that he can play Tuesday, but manager Dusty Baker acknowledged they won't "force it." With a day off coming Wednesday, Baker may hold out Brantley until Thursday's home opener against Oakland. Aledmys Diaz started in left field Monday after Chas McCormick filled in Sunday.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said he expects Brantley (wrist) to avoid the injured list, but the outfielder may not be ready to rejoin the lineup until Tuesday versus the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baker said that Brantley "dodged a major bullet" when he was struck on the wrist by a pitch in Saturday's win over the Athletics, as the 33-year-old was able to avoid any structural damage. He'll be held out of Sunday's series finale, however, and based on Baker's comments, Brantley doesn't seem likely to make it back Monday for the first of two games versus the Angels. The Astros play only five games during the upcoming week, so fantasy managers may be best off keeping Brantley out of their lineups with the knowledge that he'll likely miss at least one of those contests.
