Waldron allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron rattled off his sixth straight quality start, and he's gone nine outings without allowing more than two runs. The run support wasn't there for him Monday, leaving him to take his fifth no-decision of the season. Waldron is at a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 16 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Boston.

Waldron (5-6) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Phillies, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a Bryce Harper solo shot in the third inning, Waldron shut down the Phillies' offense over a season-high 104 pitches (64 strikes). The knuckleballer reeled off his fifth straight quality start, a stretch in which he's produced a dazzling 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB through 33.1 innings. Waldron will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Nationals.

Waldron (4-6) took the loss Friday as the Padres were downed 2-1 by the Mets, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The knuckleballer delivered his fourth straight quality start while lasting seven innings for just the second time this season, but San Diego's offense gave little support. Waldron has gone seven straight outings in which he's pitched at least five innings and allowed two runs or fewer, posting a stellar 1.91 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 41:10 K:BB through 42.1 innings over that stretch. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Philadelphia.

Waldron (4-5) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron submitted his third straight quality start, and he was able to cruise to the win after an explosive showing from the Padres' offense. The right-hander has allowed two runs over his last 19.1 innings, though he's faced the Angels, Marlins and Diamondbacks in that span, which hasn't been much of a test of his skills. Waldron is now at a 3.76 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 68:21 K:BB through 69.1 innings over 13 starts this season. He's tentatively projected for another favorable start on the road versus the Mets in his next outing.

Waldron gave up a run on two hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out four during the loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron turned in a second straight quality start Monday, allowing only one run in the fourth inning. He's given up two or fewer runs in five consecutive outings but has finished at least six innings just twice in that span. Still, his ERA has fallen from 5.82 to 3.98 during this run. Waldron has produced a 64:19 K:BB through 63.1 innings and hasn't allowed a long ball since May 11. He's currently in line to face Arizona at home this weekend.

Waldron (3-5) got the win Tuesday over the Marlins after tossing seven shutout frames while allowing six hits and walking none. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron put together arguably his best outing of the season in a dominant win over the Marlins. He reached seven innings for the first time all year and managed to not walk a batter for just the second time this season. He reportedly used his knuckleball 55 percent of the time Tuesday night and generated 11 of his 15 whiffs with the pitch. He has 31 strikeouts over his last four starts (23 innings) after totaling just 29 strikeouts over his first seven starts of the year (34 innings). Waldron is now down to a 4.26 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB in 57 innings and lines up to face the Angels to begin next week.

Waldron allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron allowed a run in each of the first two innings before settling in. He's allowed a total of five runs over his last 16 innings while adding a 23:6 K:BB in that span. Waldron's overall numbers are still mediocre -- he has a 4.86 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB through 50 innings across 10 starts -- but he's shown improvement and resilience after a tough outing versus Arizona to begin May. He's projected to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the Marlins.

Waldron (2-5) earned the win Friday against Atlanta, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron made the Atlanta lineup look uncomfortable in the batter's box all Friday night with his patented knuckleball. The San Diego right-hander used 98 pitches to reach double-digit strikeouts in a start for the first time in his career. Waldron sports a 5.00 ERA in 45 innings this season, but has been slightly unlucky, as evidenced by his 3.98 FIP. The knuckleballer lines up to face the Reds on the road for his next outing.

Waldron (1-5) was tagged with the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over 5.1 innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron coughed up a solo home run to Freddie Freeman in the top of the first and was later charged with another run in the sixth after having to be relieved by Adrian Morejon with one out in the frame. The right-handed Waldron threw only 11 of 20 first pitches for strikes in the contest en route to taking his third consecutive loss. Waldron has now allowed a home run in each of his last five starts, going 1-4 over that stretch with a 19:9 K:BB.

Waldron (1-4) took the loss Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and three walks while striking out two over three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Waldron suffered his worst outing of the season, allowing a career-high eight runs while also posting the shortest outing since he debuted last year. The Diamondbacks put up a four-spot in the first, highlighted by a two-run blast from Ketel Marte. They tacked on another two in the second and then chased him out of the fourth with back-to-back doubles to open the inning. Despite the shaky results, Waldron may retain a rotation spot after Joe Musgrove was put on the 15-day injured list Sunday with elbow inflammation. Waldron now owns a 5.82 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB in 34 innings and is expected to take the mound versus the Dodgers over the weekend.
