Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim first base prospect Matt Thaiss has driven in nine runs early in the Double-A season. Thaiss is a former first-round pick and has one of the better eyes for the strike zone for all players in the minor leagues. Thaiss is still a year or two away from making an impact at the next level but should be an above-average hitter when his time comes.
