Matt Pagnozzi was called up from the minors on Saturday September 17.

Rockies designated C Matt Pagnozzi for assignment. The move was made in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Thomas Field. Pagnozzi will almost surely clear waivers.

Rockies optioned C Matt Pagnozzi to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Pagnozzi batted .286 (6-for-21) with two RBI in nearly a month with the big club. Eliezer Alfonzo will now serve as the primary backup to Chris Iannetta.
